What are everyone's thoughts on this? Has now been confirmed his new trainer (same age as him) is a permanent fixture.

Fury does do my head in but i want to see him back and at his best and based on his past performances Peter has always seemed to get the best out of him

I think there has been words behind the scenes that we'll never hear about. Peter is a nice guy it seems, but I don't think he would wear Tysons messing about the last couple of years, especially ballooning up. I expect him in the corner again once Tysons proved himself a bit instead of wasting time. Just my opinion, I could be totally wrong !

Peter will no doubt re-appear if/when things have been sorted with Tyson’s licence & a comeback date etc.

I say If as im still half expecting him to go off the rails again

It’s Ben Davison the MTK global trainer.

Tyson Fury said in the interview that he needs a change of scenery and change of voice, as Peter Fury works on the same stuff all of the time.

Who knows whether this a step forward or a step back?

I think Peter not being in Tysons corner is a massive blow for Tyson. Tyson said in recent IFL interview he was going stale as it was the same old routines all the time. He forgets those routines made him the boxer who could toy with Klitscko away from home.

You know what they say, if it's not broke don't fix it.

At 29 you are not going to be teaching an old dog new tricks. By then your style is your style. Its going to be training to work on that extra 1%. What is concerning is that only a seasoned and high level trainer will generally be able to get you that additional 1% advantage. This is a newbie trainer with no previous CV to speak of.

Tyson is also Peters gravy train so I'm sure the long period of inactivity must have frustrated Peter in that sense

Very good point, especially with Fury who already has pretty much all the skills he would ever need. He needs someone to get him fit, keep him that way and keep him motivated.

I don't know much about Ben Davidson but will be interesting to see how it pans out. If it doesn't work Ingle would be a good option.

Not sure if there was a falling out with Fury and his uncle. Probably given their personalities.

Tyson said they haven't fallen out and still speak, he merely needed a change of scenery. I fully expect himself and Peter to link back up once he's near fighting weight.

Ben Davison was the disaster in Billy Joe's corner for the Akavov fight - at one point he told Billy to "faint a little bit slower." He's a joke, as are all the MTK trainers.

It's no coincidence that all the big name/better boxers, who sign with MTK swerve their trainers and just use them for management purposes. Tyson should be dumping Fat Mick and staying with Peter, instead he's staying with Fat Mick and dumping Peter.

In this current heavyweight division (and with Wilder/Joshua never likely to happen), Fury was our best chance at ****ing Joshua and Hearn off and he's blowing it with terrible decisions outside of the ring.

Peter always struck me in interviews of having a lack of understanding/empathy for Tyson’s mental issues. This is just surmising of course.

Maybe what Tyson needs right now is someone who he can have a crack with and who can recognise when he’s going to hit a low, keep him motivated etc.

I tend to agree, Peter Fury seems like (past aside) a nice feller, but I'm guessing his upbringing and way of life aren't really compatible with mental health illnesses. I'd assume he's one of the "mens men" and thinks all men should be men.

Peter's proberly worth more money than Tyson so I do not think he was ever bothered about money, only worried about Tysons wellbeing and his future.
