Why are you calling Wilder a "basketballer" - which by the way isn't what you call a basketball player - when he's been a professional boxer for 10+ years, a former champion and has literally never played competitive basketball, and if you've seen him handle a basketball you would know there is no doubt he hasn't . What on earth would propel you to call him a "basketballer" ?

Dubois was getting his ass kicked. He’d land one or two nice shots and get the peppered the entirety of the round. You quit when you don’t have answer’s and he could not get out of the way of that jab (did not parry not a single jab), it would have just been more damage and he couldn’t KO Joyce. He realised that and he quit. If he was legitimately winning (and not just the judges robbing Joyce for him) he’d had stuck around longer. Same reason Brook quit vs Spence, messed up eye and too physically spent to stop the onslaught.
