Fury will get himself a shot at the belts first I think. Not quite sure who'll have the more successful career. Fury does have time on his side and plenty of time to develop, where as Price has to get in gear. Price for me is the better boxer from I've seen. He really looks the dogs bits to me.
I know Fury **** himself when he realised Price was his mandatory. I'm just saying being on Boxnation which is as far as terrestrial as you can get, his name will get smaller and the media pressure will reside. But I must add, if Fury can get Klitschko on Channel 5, that would be amazing! When was the last time the Heavyweight championship was on terrestrial?
Fury is much improved in recent times, he's definitely come on. Before he even thinks about a Klit though we need to see him earn that contenders spot by defeating a Tony Thompson / Eddie Chambers or perhaps go up against Wilder or Mitchell...something to suggest he really warrants a shot other than the fact he would draw a large audience over here. Chisora was a good win, but he needs to move on now. I also doubt his punching power at the top level. I think Price has shown a raw power against the likes of Sexton and McDermott that Fury hasn't. People question his chin but based on technique and use of the jab and distance I think he stands much less chance of getting belted than Fury IMO, who lets not forget has been on his arse and all over the shop against the limited Brazilian. Price will demolish Audley, who will be scared witless, but then we need to see him move on too. In terms of a title shot, I think Fury might get there first, as someone else said Pricey seems to be taking more of a traditional route. But I think Price has much more chance of success when his moment arrives and if they fought I'd have Price to win by stoppage. Fury too easy to hit with that big right hand. Would love to see it :good
Fury has yet to fight anyone with real talent and has a lot to learn about how to keep a strong defence, in the heavyweight game we all know that one good shot is all it takes and even though fury has shown he can get up after a knock down the question is what's he going to do when he meets a real heavy weight with power and skills ??. I know he's still learning his trade but for me he's not got the raw talent/skill that can be honed in to a well rounded heavy weight. Price seems to be more organized and methodical about his work but less willing to go toe to toe in a slug fest, for me price is the better boxer but because Fury has been knocking opponents out he's more likely to get the shot first.:good
He isn't talented, he isn't a natural athlete, awful footwork and technically he is very bad. What he has is size and youth, and a jab that is becoming more and more like the Klitchkos every fight. He could go far in the heavyweights.
Fury is more like vitali imo he is more of a Brawler and accumulation puncher, still in possession of a very good jab, where price is the technician with devastating right hand power
Theres a very good chance Fury will keep improving and Price won't. But theres MORE of a chance of Fury getting battered and found out at a higher level.
fury would beat price imo, i hate fury but all price has is power, glass chin and heart imo, i hope he proves me wrong would love to see him beat wlad or povetkin!
Contrary to some of the less well informed members of this forum I do not foresee Fury ever getting a world title shot. I foresee him being brutally knocked out once he steps up to European/Fringe world class level and more than once, as he clearly has no defence, and that set of whiskers will not stay green forever. Price looks genuine world class, but is being moved very carefully and very slowly. I do forsee him fighting for a world title and if it is not against the Klitschko's I see him being victorious. I predict he will be the next ruler at HW for many years to come.
Both have potential. Fury has answered more questions than Price so far but Price's work looks cleaner and he keeps in better shape.
Price isn't going to advance his case ahead of Fury by taking on guys well outside the top 50 like Audley.
Price looks the business to these eyes. Solid jab, technique, movement, patience and one-shot power. Plus he always looks in fearsome shape. As much as I like Tyson Fury and wish him every success, if they met tomorrow Price would kick the living **** out of him.
Outside of k2 and haye name another genuine world class heavyweight?? This is not the late 80's to mid 90's with world class operaters everywhere
Fury will probably get the first shot at the belts but he is still very young, I think that's often forgotten. Still unanswered questions on Price as well. Time will tell.
