No I agree, it was unusual and worthy of investigation. Are ref's allowed to talk to the press after big fights? Maybe if he would explain - or was allowed to - then we'd have a better idea what his thinking was...

Doesn't matter why, both Wilder in his fight with Ortiz and Fury in his fight with Wilder benefited from some extra time to recover, and it seems there are no hard and fast rules regarding these situations. Like I say, in one scenario Wilder benefited and the other was to his detriment. Despite your polemic, you must be able to see the parallels?

Just because a million people believe in a lie/falsehood it doesn't suddenly make it more true.

If there is an agenda and narrative to push, then of course the hive minded individuals who don't have an independant thought of their own are going to rely heavily on the general consensus.

It's nothing new to me, I just break it down and dispel it all.

Happens more than often in boxing sadly, especially in the advent of social media.

The same way 90-95% of opinion believed the fight was a pr stunt and there'd be empty seats and it would be a stinker, whilst I continued on thick skinned whilst resolutely informing everyone on here in spite of ridicule and backlash, that the fight would definitely happen.

I don't care about what morons and stupid people sing and parrot off in union.

I will always stand by my convictions because I'm simply more intelligent, more observant, more objective and far less prone to letting hype and emotion form my views.

I've heard Reiss interviewed before. He's a pretty level headed guy. Maybe he just wanted a little longer of a look in that situation.

Had he stopped it, the brits in here would be going nuts saying the fix was in. Ironic, I know.

No not all. Some have agendas, whilst some are punch drunk and don't want to see another fighter beat their record or look better than them.

Paulie Maggali is a prime example of someone who has always disliked Wilder.

BT sport had a story to sell and that didn't involve the man from Alabama coming out victorious.

I'm a Brit but still find the 'British stoppage' an embarrassment although possibly this is a by-product of some very high-profile incidents in the 1990s.

If you watch clips of Michael Watson walking to the centre of the ring for the final round against Eubank, you would be stunned that fight hadn't been called off in the 11th; the ref literally had to hold him up to try touch gloves before the final round.

As is often the case when people react, they over-react and now our refs are so uber cautious, it makes a mockery of some fights....

You're a prince nasseem fan, and no doubt an Amir Khan supporter.

What on earth would you know about boxing?

So your man Lenox Lewis who been very pro Wilder and anti AJ said Fury won and as a professional fighter and world champion not once did he bring up the referee's alleged generous late count in his many post fight interviews, you think he might be punch drunk for not bringing that up? Maybe the time they were at the white house meeting Trump they went for a bathroom break together and Lenox looked down over to Wilder's cubicle and what he saw made him so jealous that it destroyed his ability as a ex world champion to judge fights and fighters.

What the **** is that post even meant to mean? You can’t even spell Prince Naseem for a start, being a fan of an entertaining fighter who was the man when I was growing up means I don’t know anything about boxing? I guess all the Ali fans that grew up in the 60s and 70s or Tyson fans from the 80s and 90s also know nothing about boxing then?

I like Naz so I must be a Muslim and therefore a Khan fan as well I’m assuming is your reasoning behind that?

I’m whiter than chalk, not a fan of Khan and hope Brook gets the chance to KO him. Stereotypes dispelled.

This thread title is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read so congratulations on that, imagine labelling it as ‘propaganda’ a guy actually using the platform he has for raising awareness and talking about real life problems he came through.

He won that fight (If you don’t agree then YDKSAB) get over it.
