Tyson Fury says he plans to use the same strategy he used to beat Wilder against Anthony Joshua

That's not being harsh. His technique is terrible and limited and his reign as a HW titlist was a joke.

Fury said he was coming forward for the Wilder fight and I didn't believe him then, so I'm loath to make the same mistake.

However, I just don't think this is the right game-plan against Joshua. This would get Fury knocked out, while his normal jab-and-move style would school Joshua.

Hope it's just mind games from Fury.

Oh dear. I specially made a text doc. to preserve threads like this and all the people on here, who obviously have no clue at all at boxing, and are so biased, that make them completely blind. :D
Just wonders to dig after AJ smash Fury to the high heaven!
What tactics Fury brings to the table won`t matter at all. If he decide to push like he did with Wilder, he will get KO very quick. If he decide to try to box and move, he will just get caught and KO. Fury rely on clinches when someone get close to him, and there will be his doom.
Joshua know how to move well and cut the ring and will catch Fury constantly, and what Fury do in this situation is just clinch, but that ain`t going to work against Joshua.
Joshua boxing has improved tremendously and he is okay with boxing from distance and wait for his moment, which will come.
And people who really think that Fury chin is strong one, will be disappointed. His chin is bang average, and when a combo puncher like Joshua hit it, it will be all over for it.
And Fury is a feather fisted and just can`t keep Joshua at distance and make him think twice to go forward.

As far as his god tier cardio, oh don`t make me laugh. The guy have tremendous low punch output and throw arm punches, there is a reason for that.
We going to wait and see who is right and wrong.

If Fury fights the clinch and lean on game, then AJ needs to channel a little Marciano methodology, a few doses of AJs cranium in Furys face might make Fury alter tactics.

Fury jive talks and tries mind games, the fight plan of Fury is unknown he might go for his herky jerky methods, he might try and ragdoll and walk AJ down or might have plan C, the point is no one other than he and his team do or will known prefight.

So perhaps again follow the Marciano method "I have always adhered to two principles. The first one is to train hard and get in the best possible physical condition. The second is to forget all about the other fellow until you face him in the ring and the bell sounds for the fight" , AJ knows what tools he himself has, hone them, improve them if he can and plan to fight his own fight.

AJ is not going to win a war of jive talk with Fury, so hope he does not engage in it or even listen to it, maybe for once use those headphones he wears at weigh ins for their correct purpose so it drowns out Furys voice.

AJ fights upright and stiff, he doesn't know how to use his cranium...

Fury being merely in front of you is physically exhausting, AJ is going to blow out in 4 rounds and then get ragdolled around by a caveman.

Fury is the boxing HW version of Khabib. On top of you all night long. When you tire he covers your mouth and whispers "shhh no tears only dreams now" in your ear.

Fury will close the distance on AJ when he gets bored and or AJ gets tired, simple.

He started jumping on Wilder because he knew he was safe to tire him further. If Fury gave him room he might have recovered.

Another amazing post by the greatest poster in this forum miniq. I agree, Fury is just too much for Aj.

Fury decides to box ? Aj will get schooled
Fury decides to fight ? Aj will get ragdolled

Aj has nothing to beat Fury with. Fury's Iq has been confirmed to be in the 300s. He sees his opponents punches before they even think about throwing them and the fact that stiff robotic Joshua telegraphs his shots make it worse.

Fury will be smashing that Sonny Liston telephone pole jab right into Ajs face, pressuring him, roughing him up. Aj has nowhere to run in that ring. Kronk Fury will corner Aj on the ropes and unleash the gates of hell on him.

As soon as Fury was born the fight was already over

However good we see Fury as he is no Khabib, as Khabib would say "That is number one Bulls*it" . Fury has shown frailties and has been undisciplined but Khabib has been a disciplined machine.

If Fury tries to ragdoll AJ then he will be fighting the wrong fight in my opinion, AJs gas tank has indeed been suspect however it has improved a lot, if Fury had kept his boxing titles rather than going for the KFC, Coke and Alkie titles and fought AJ earlier, then yes gas tank would have 100% been AJs undoing, today that is less so.

A taller Fury leaning on him, oh i'm sure AJs cranium will find a eyebrow or bridge of nose, surprising what AJ can do when he so chooses, it doesn't take great skill to use your head if in a clinch/leaned on, it will be Furys choice to lean on, AJ will merely be moving head 'naturally' while fighting way out of the clinch/leaning on "honestly ref.....";)

Who do i think would win if both are mentally and physically fit, i still go for Fury, however i do not think it is a forgone conclusion.

Let us hope the fight gets made as soon as possible, the division should have a undisputed World Champion, 2 Brits fighting for all the titles, hey bring it on.

This is a good fight. I dont rate joshua that highly but hes a good match up with fury. Still say wilder would knock joshua out tho.

Unlike wilder joshua wont back up as much as wilder did when fury was on the offence leaving wilder unable to counter. I think joshua needs to stand his ground. Also think rob mckracken will encourage him to stand his ground. He does that a lot. Fury had the bulk to push wilder back but joshuas a better match up in terms of strength/size etc.

Joshua does have power...although furys hard to hit...if he goes to push joshua back like he did with wilder and joshua stays where he is...fury will be lucky to get out of there without getting tagged.

One thing to consider tho is furys punches shouldnt be under estimated. He hit like a mule against wilder in that second fight. Different kind of power to joshuas...its less explosive but more thudding. Hes anything but featherfisted after watching that second wilder fight. He,ll take it out of anyone if he starts landing with them shots. Dangerous fight for fury tbh. Joshuas standing his ground will make him come unstuck against some fighters
...but it should be a strength against fury.
