They're more likely to use PED's. Why would having double the amount of volume make it LESS likely they're on PED's?

You do realise none of what you've said there is true. If that happened it would trigger a ban as a 3 times missed.

I've a close family member been part of the the 24/7 drug testing that boxers sign up for. Every day you have to report where you will be via a app between a set 2 hour window. Most people set it for either first thing in the morning (4-6) or last thing at night (10-12) so they can be at home or do things during the day. They don't just turn up at say a barber shop or supermarket unplanned and collar people.

 

Thru both are on drugs

 

Look is uysk cycling? Yes almost certainly but I'd put money on almost all top level fighters at the very least microdosing.

The problem won't be sorted till boxing signs up for all year round testing which it won't. Boxing isn't like say athletics or football where its a year round sport week in week out, you can quite happily sit out for 6 months cycling then go clean and still have the benefits.

I'm of the opinion that most athletes in most sports are using, or have used some type of PED.

It's pretty baseless really but when you think about it, occasionally some mid level athlete will pop dirty and then you look at the other guys who are way bigger, way stronger, way fitter, way faster who are supposedly clean. It seems unlikely doesn't it.

Take Usain Bolt for example. Every runner in the 2008 Olympic final has tested positive for something except Bolt who beat a field of drug cheats so convincingly he jogged for 10% of the race lol.

It will never happen, boxing is too splintered with differing sanctioning bodies, commissions and other organisations to get them to agree.

Some countries like the UK and France have government funded organisations which test all athletes in all sports year round with random testing but even then boxers at the lower level will likely not get tested very often due to limited funding for these bodies so it's only the high profile athletes that get tested regularly.

Boxing will never be as professional as other sports, simply too many greedy individuals looking out for their own interests and guarding their little share of the sport and unwilling to work with others to grow the sport for fear of losing their share. It would take some truly visionary and motivated individuals in several key positions in the sport coming together to take the sport forward to a more professional system but that's never going to happen.

 

More testing, less time to cycle.
