This is an article I found last November 2020

Tyson Fury is adamant that Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte would both get knocked out inside the first round if they fought Deontay Wilder next.

The WBC heavyweight champion dethroned America’s ‘Bronze Bomber’ back in February, boxing beautifully as he walked him down and stopped him in seven rounds.
As is sadly predictable in boxing, this single defeat has led to many denigrating Wilder.

Regardless, Fury told iFL TV: “Deontay Wilder, barring none, even today, is the most dangerous heavyweight alive.

“He would wipe the floor with every other single heavyweight out there, apart from myself.

“And I also believe that Oleksandr Usyk would give him problems.
“They’re the only two people in the heavyweight division alive today that could give Deontay Wilder trouble.

    “That’s myself and Oleksandr Usyk.

“I’m an absolute beast, warrior, legend, ‘lineal’ champion and Usyk because he’s a master southpaw, slick boxer.

“He’s had a lot of experience and he knows how to deal with power punchers.”
Since the ‘Gypsy King’s’ dominant victory, many observers have suggested that simply walking forwards at Wilder is the way for other heavyweights to stop him.

However, Fury said: “Wilder beats Joshua, he beats Whyte and Jarrell Miller.

“There’s nobody who can beat Deontay Wilder. Are you joking, the ‘Bronze Bomber’?

“One touch on their faces and they’re gone forever, goodnight Vienna.

He would do to Whyte and Joshua what he did to Dominic Breazeale, put them unconscious in round one.

“They ain’t got the skills I’ve got, can’t touch this, this can’t be touched.

“I just wanna see them fight. They wanna call Wilder this, that and the other, but he will put them to sleep, easy.

“Soon as he touches them, they’re gone.

“They’ve got no defence and just walk into punches.

“What are they gonna do, walk him down, without a feint, without no footwork? Please.

“You won’t walk a man like that down, he’d punch holes in you.

“I’d definitely, definitely back Wilder to knock the pair out, for sure.”

"He would do to Whyte and Joshua what he did to Dominic Breazeale, put them unconscious in round one."

That Tyson Fury...always good copy for the reporters.

Well, no, actually. As I don't think Whyte will simply stand in front of Deontay and not throw any punches.

It's tough to read too much into this - but perhaps Tyson is hinting he would give Usyk a fight?

maybe. Usyk is smaller and weights lesser than A.J and he maybe thinks that he will easily maul him. ;)

He also says in his most recent interview that Wilder beats everyone besides himself. Im guessing that includes Usyk

He could be right its hard to judge tbh.

Whyte did lose to an old povetkin....joshua has specialised in beating up older guys. I still say wilders a danger to anyone not called fury....dependant how he comes back anyway.

Both whyte v wilder and joshua v wilder interesting fights. We,ve never really seen a decent operator walk him down like whyte probably would. Or not walk him down but try to close the gap wilder tries to create. Pretty sure whyte has a decent longish reach. Usually when that happens barring fury....the guys wilders fought have been useless.

With joshua....we know that one punch can get him going. At this point you ve got to think joshua might back him up....but furys right....joshua doesnt have the movement/defence of fury. He does stay static and tries to tuck up at times ...dangerous position to be against wilder.

Both good fights imo. Fury might be right.

Whyte would be a sitting duck against Wilder

Whyte walks into a right hand 10 times out of 10 for me
Joshua and Usyk are much better boxers and movers than Willder so have a way better chance to win, but I think Wilder can connect on them

Probably true tbf...but we,ve never really seen wilder go up against someone with whytes style thats actually half decent.

Went terribly against fury for him.

Ortiz was a struggle...but ortiz is primarily a counter puncher. Outside of them two fighters....we,ve no real evidence that wilder would take whyte out up to this point. Hes done it with inferior opponents...but whytes better than everyone on wilders cv barring fury and possibly ortiz...who i actually rate pretty highly. Again tho ortiz is a counter puncher.

I,d fancy wilder to do both whyte and joshua. Just wouldnt be 100 percent confident. Especially after looking out of his depth v fury.

Joshua stands a good chance of getting stopped, as even his victory against Ruiz wasn't exactly an impressive exhibition. AJ is a decent boxer and a very good puncher, in the former I don't think he quite edges a Larry Donald or Tony Tubbs. In the latter I'd put him a step above Ken Norton but nowhere near Wilder, Shavers, or Foreman.

It's conceivable he could run a good deal of the fight, but if Ruiz stopped him, Wilder would pulverize him imo.

Keep in mind, I don't have much regard for Wilder overall as anything BUT a puncher, but am glad to have him in such a boring, underachieving division as today's heavies. No offense to fans.

True. I remember Usyk's fight with Gassiev. Obviously, Marat is capable of punching harder than Usyk - but it was evident that Gassiev couldn't really push Usyk around the ring. There are many different applications of strength - power punching is only one. Nobody should doubt Usyk's tremendous general physical strength - even if his strongest punches don't carry quite the destructive power of Dorticos or Gassiev.

That said, having a great big ox like Tyson Fury hanging on you will drain you pretty quickly. Size and leverage ;)

Joshua likely destroys him based on his performances against Luis Ortiz

No-one can beat Wilder if successfully ducks them. The only fighters who can beat him are from those which have been cherry picked because they are deemed way below his level, or those he is forced to fight a rematch with after first picking him because he was overweight and out of the ring for 2 years.

Always baffles me how a lot of people seem to forget that a decent opponent will be firing back against Wilder, it's not just merely a case of can they avoid being clipped by Wilder's right hand. I'd fancy Joshua to land on him first and get him out of there fairly quickly but I think Whyte would try the Fury approach and walk onto something and get sparked.
