If Ruiz beats Aj again he’s clearly the number 1 heavy. The two wins over AJ completely eclipse anything Wilder has done

Yep winner of AJ ruiz deserves to be number one as have better records than Fury or wilder and hold most of the belts.

Wilder number 2 only because he holds a belt.

    Tyson 3rd.

I would have had whyte 3rd had he not been caught out cheating. As he is probably the form fighter in the division.

It’s a stupid argument and you shouldn’t have to go back 4 years to look for a decent win. 18 months to 2 years maximum.
    Wilder is right up there.
Ruiz and Joshua, regardless of the outcome have good wins.
Whyte is up there on resumé.
Usyk for his achievements at cruiser.
Hunter building a solid resume at heavyweight on the d low.

Yeah and it becomes vacant if the "holder" retires

    Fury retired.

    It's vacant

Fury has no titles not even the imaginary one.

Wilder is hyped for being a top fighter but he certainty doesnt have a top 2 resume. AJ, Whyte & Parker have more impressive career win than Wilder and certianly more depth to their records in terms of notable opponents. Ruiz has a better career win than Wilder. Povetkin record certainly has more depth to his record than Wilder.

A draw against Wilder does not merit a 10 ranking in my opinion.

    1. Wilder
    2. Ruiz Jr

After that it gets murky but I'll take a stab at it.

    3. Anthony Joshua
    4. Oleksandyr Usyk
    5. Filip Hrgovic
    6. Dillian Whyte
    7. Tyson Fury
    8. Alexander Povetkin
    9. Luis Ortiz
    10. Joseph Parker

I'm being generous to Fury for giving him massive credit for escaping in the Wilder fight and assuming he just had an off night vs Wallin. Big assumption but I'm a charitable man.

No one won the title after Fury called it a day, thus he was holder when he came back. As I mentioned, the beauty of the title is it is black and white (binary) there can be no serious debate.

Nice is standing up for what you believe in, not being a fake...

If you really do think Fury is not a top 10 heavyweight of the moment, fight your corner, do not back down so easy.

Daniel Dubois, Joe Joyce, Michael Hunter and Martin Bakole could all be in there by the end of 2020.

Ruiz if he does the business again.

He beat the man with most belts twice. Wilder doesn't come near that.

It’s a tough one. Right now as we speak Wilder is number 1. If Ruiz beats Joshua again then two wins over AJ is much better than Wilder’s whole record. Like wise with AJ, if he beats Ruiz and regains all the belts then he’s achieved a lot more and got a better record than Wilder. But you just fancy Wilder against anyone with that power!
