    You do realize when Wlad finally started letting his hands go in the last round he hurt Tyson, well guess what, Povetkin, Wilder and Joshua will have 0 problem letting their hands go from the opening bell.

    I would favor Povetkin and Joshua to beat Fury but not Wilder.

    Fury had been moving his legs around the ring and using lots of upper body movement constantly for 12 rounds and his trunks were falling down and he was trying to pull them up wearing boxing gloves.

    Is that what it took for Wlad to have a tiny moments success?? :patsch:rofl

    Wlad locked Fury up so he couldn't implement his inside boxing skills and in turn he paid for it with a loss.

    Povetkin for one won't be looking to hug Fury and will meet the full onslaught of Furys uppercuts and combinations.
    Fury would beat him worse and more cleanly than Wlad did.

    There are trolls who understand boxing better than you.

    You're right. Fury deserves more credit than he got. HBO kept talking about what Wlad couldn't do and not what Fury did. Wlad's been hesitant to pull the trigger for years in some of his fights so it definitely wasn't just age. Did you ever think you would see Wlad get out jabbed? Wlad wasn't able to grab Fury and lean on him and tire him like hey done to all his other opponents. As for adjustments, that's not really something Wlad does. He fights one way. Manny taught him to fight in a way to minimize anyone catching him with the big shots because that is the style he needed to make it.

    If Wlad let his hands go sooner he would have gassed out and got stopped. He was breathing heavy from early on.

    I agree in that I think Emanuel would never have let Wlad fall so far behind on points before trying to light a fire under him. And I agree even more that he is dearly missed by the boxing world. He was an amazing human being and a tremendous ambassador for the sport.

    Truly one of a kind, and a complete and total class act.

    I don't think size was the biggest problem for Wladimir, which is a point I wish I had driven home more when I hastily threw this episode together.

    What troubled Wlad most was movement. Wlad is a methodical fighter, and Fury never afforded him the opportunity of unloading on a stationary target. As such, Klitschko was never comfortable pulling the trigger.

    What troubled Wlad the most was feints.

    Every feint to Wlad was like pressing the reset button on a computer console.

    And I definitely think a case for a shutout can be made, although there were a couple of rounds that I can see giving Wladimir. Although 2 of the official judges awarding him 4 rounds seemed a stretch to me.

    I definitely wouldn't say that. If Wlad truly lacked heart, he would have never overcome adversity in his first fight with Peter, coming not long after devastating losses to Sanders and Brewster.

    If Wlad truly lacked heart, he would have retired in 2005 after losing to Peter.

    I understand the logic that many were hoping Wlad would just throw caution to the wind and try anything he could to retain his title. But I don't think his reluctance to do so indicates a lack of heart - I think he was just confused in the midst of being thoroughly outclassed, and this has happened throughout history to many a great pugilist before him.
