Tyson Fury surpasses Jack Dempsey for 2nd longest Lineal title reign

A thread for those who still accept that Tyson Fury is the Lineal Champion. And for me, Tyson Fury is the Lineal Champion, and will be until he loses a fight in the ring, or retires undefeated.

 

Wlad is on the frontline* in Ukraine getting this news and his day just got a whole lot worse.

He`s close to making a many title defenses as Louis too.

 

He’s averaged 1.2 fights a year in that time.

Fought Seferi, Pianeta, Schwarz, Wallin, Whyte, Chisora & Wilder x3.

He’s just a paper champion until he starts fighting everybody.

 

He lost his claim when he retired in 2015. Going by this logic Lewis is the longest reigning lineal heavyweight champ since he never lost his title in the ring.

 

Whats this nonsense of Wlad ever having been lineal champion?

 

He wasn’t. Fury became lineal champ after defeating him because of the reigning lineal HW champ retires (Lennox’s Lewis) than 1n the world (Klitschko) must fight number 2 in the world (Fury) to crown a new champ.

 

I did watch it but I don’t agree with him on that. Retirement years should count as years you reigned. That’s nonsense. Two years need to be taken off that list.

 

Wasnt Wlad vs Chavaev considered to be a lineal fight?

 

Why do you keep calling him a middle weight? He’s the same height as Ali and he’s taller than Frazier, Tyson, Dempsey ect. You should be calling Fury the giraffe. If anything calling him a middleweight is a compliment as he’s able to destroy all these taller guys.
