I've no idea how good Fury is until he faces a live, credible opponent. Chisora is his best win in my view, which whilst good, doesn't tell us a huge amount as Dereck has always fallen short at the highest level. I was impressed by how easily Tyson won, but he needs to step up to the elite level in this division before we truly know how good he is, or isn't.
Solaris makes a good point about the type of fighter Fury fights! but for him to deal with Chisora so easily should make people treat Fury with at least a bit more respect, guy has huge potential! and I hope he gets a big fight soon!
Fury would most certainly win against Joshua. The beat down he gave Chisora was routine for him, and Joshua's last opponent was an over the hill journeyman. People forget there isn't much age difference between them either, Fury is the more proven and has more potential.
Rumor has it that Chisora was injured before the fight, and him and Fury reached a private agreement, where Fury would go easy on him, to allow the fight to go ahead so that they could both collect their paychecks. I hope it's not true, as that would be horrific, but it does fit with what we saw in the ring- Fury fighting most of the fight southpaw, throwing tip-tap jabs with no force which weren't even thrown correctly, and Chisora doing literally nothing all fight.
i agree. tyson fury gets so disrespected everywhere and there really is no need for it. he will show all one day. tyson deserves respect and credit and he is a very good fighter. he wouldln've beaten david i'm a celebrity haye. as tom little said in hes interview the other day about darch, haye would of been saying the same thing "i'm a celebrity and tyson just got me out of here"
Garbage! Why would Chisora agree to box injured and lose a world title eliminator for a payday that was hardly massive compared to what he's earned before and nowhere near what he would get for boxing fit and winning a payday against Wlad?!
So he'd give up a seven figure sum for a six figure one, and lose his most probably last chance at a world title shot. You can join that other Walter Mitty with their conspiracy 'rumour'
He had his own promoter pulling him out of the fight. I wouldn't rule out anything myself. Tyson himself was telling us all how Chisora had broken ribs in the lead-up anyway.
