Heard it fell through because Fury wanted Joshua to turn up in one of his pink Versace shirts but Joshua’s contractual stipulations insist he turns up in an Under Armour top that you can buy from Sports Direct for a tenner.

It’s absolute bollocks. Canelo has plenty of sponsors but he was able to go and fight on someone else’s show when he fought Plant. Didn’t see Canelo saying he can’t sign the contact because he’s sponsored by a certain brand of sombrero hats.

You'd like to think they'd be able to work through it, but Lucozade would be in direct competition to Wow Hydrate and to a lesser extent Furocity who are both associated to Fury and will want visibility in the ring and advertising.

They're one of Joshua's main sponsors so I can see why this may have caused issues. That's one of the pitfalls of trying to work through a contract negotiation like this at a rapid pace.

Just stick the Matchroom shills on ignore mate, the forum, and life, are all the better for it. I've never ignored anyone before on this forum, but the paid employees are easy to smoke out.

Lucozade should have just claimed the sole of Joshua's boots.

The revenue from this fight would have outweighed heavily any financial implications from any commercial deals.

Excuse after excuse from Team Duckers

There are serious agendas on here justifying absolute nonsense.

As boxing fans, all we want to see is well matched fights but quite a few on here cracking one off to Box Office figures, commercial sponsorship deals, deceit from promoters etc.

Fury v Joshua coming in 2058 in a Care Home and Hearn 111 will stick it on DAZN UK Box Office with John Fury commentating from the local cemetery.

The worlds biggest draw fighting in a 12k arena who’d have thought it.

The next 3 - 4 fights for AJ will be against easy opponents. All for the sake of DAZN.

The question is whether AJ will get tired of it and leave Eddie Hearn / Matchroom in a year or two ?

I think it will be a little earlier :)

Aj and Fury meet on the dance floor in 2024.

If manny against floyd got made, massive egos different TV deals etc got made,it shows how much of a farce getting fury and Joshua signed is
I find it so bizarre and strange that hearn and Warren, have never met supposedly, how on earth can 2 people who are trying to sort a massive deal have never met? So strange

George Warren on TalkSport sounded plausible enough going into a bit of detail on the contract progress. The Hearn "draft not fit for purpose" thing seems to have been debunked at least. And Hearn seems to have confirmed everything @Trafford said about AJ's obligations.

Seems fair to say that Queensberry were trying to do a deal quickly - probably because Fury was pushing them along - whilst Matchroom wouldn't be rushed for perfectly understandable reasons. No deal, move on...

I get the impression that he does not want hard tests and more defeats.

Milking the fans is all he and Hearn really care about.
