Good match up here, not as good as the Boystov fight but much better than someone like Grano or Mormeck. I don't think it will be a fight of the year contender but its a solid match up. Johnson is the best fighter Fury has faced and would be a nice win for Fury. At this point I would slightly favor Fury to win. Its short notice for Johnson and Fury has home field advantage. I'm not sure but Johnson might be on the slide as well and probably won't be active enough to win on the road but even with all that its an even type of match.
interesting fight. johnson is no slouch. fury sure can pick 'em. fury should win this 1. if the old kj shows up, fury is in for a long nite
Lots of mixed opinions for this fight, and some of em actually based on actually fight knowledge and not straight hate of one guy or the other. That means we actually got us a bonafide fight. I've become a fan of Fury's and Im hoping he does well in the post K2 era. This fight will be a great way to cement his legacy going into the next era. For KJ, a win here over Fury, essentially gives him another immediate title shot vs Wlad. Of course, Seth Mitchell, should he beat Banks for the NABO, would have a different opinion and would really make a big deal outta making that fight Johnson pretended to want back int he day.
You really can't look good against Johnson. This might turn out a debacle for Fury although I suppose Kingpin's awfully low workrate will lose him the fight. I see no chance of Fury looking convincing in this one.
messy sloppy fight . fury wins a dirty fite on points . kingpin is not legit at all . he tends to be inactive in the ring not throwing many punches. he is tuff to hit if u dont put pressure on him but if u bring it to him he doesnt like that . he would rather fight a chess match which he cant even do that very well because his offense isnt great either . he just has overated power from knockin out bums fury wins. n hes gunna keep steppin up in comp till he loses. i dnt think he can win if once he gets a couple notches above king pin . which in the heavyweight division a couple notches after kingpin is top 7 or so . but his brute force and rugged style cant get him far when he fights sum one wit decent power speen and good movement , for instance david haye would ko fury in within 6 or 7 rds .
Weirdly looking forward to this. NB Whoever wrote that little article on the ESB front page may as well have written "Tyson Fury is a **** and I hope he loses."
Kev Johnson is super talented and has a good right hand when he wants to throw it. I can gurantee you that Fury is not gonna KO Johnson. If Kev and new trainer Jeff Mayweather have taught the Kingpin some offense,he can win.
Tor Hamer is actually a respected prospect and the fight was 3 rounds. Hardly enough to call it a real loss and how KJ fights doesn't really lend itself to prizefighter format.
Leapai was getting close to cracking the top 20 when this happened. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj1HDBDMpPY"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj1HDBDMpPY[/ame]
Boxing Insider told me months ago that this was in the pipeline.Only saying now because I gave him my word I'd stay quiet until it was confirmed. Anyone know what's happened to him? (Boxing Insider)
