Ok I might sound like a real casual here but I have been arguing this with my friends for the last 2/3 weeks. Who wins and why? I know one is an ATG and the other is a champion in a weak division but you have to look at the facts. Tyson was a hard puncher who could slick punches but how would he cope against somebody like Fury who is 6ft9, a cross hitter with amazing footwork. For me I just can't see how Tyson would cope against a modern day super heavyweight.

    Hard...very hard.

It's too easy to just say "Mike by KO"

But Mike is barely 5'10"... & who is the best fighter he beat?

    Prime Wlad
Prime Fury (yet to be seen?)
    Prime Tyson

I think they give each other good fights...

Couple left hooks to the body would put ol big oaf Fury down, he's fast for a big man in HW these days but Tyson was FAR faster than him. Prime for prime, I give Fury practically no chance unless he lands something big. He's not outboxing a prime Tyson.

I think you underestimate the size difference. Mike will have a harder time landing than you think.

Cop out to say Mike by KO. I want some better an@lysis. If you asked me 1-2 years ago I would have said Mike KO1 also...

Lets just wait 2 years to see how Fury progresses.

wellberbick outpointed shot ali, I think, which is the closest you can get to what fury just did (although wlad was in better shape than shot diseased ali).

You know what way berbick went when he faced li'l mickey. Yet he wasn't certainly bad at all, Trev was pretty good.

until fury proves he can beat someone prime and good, DONT MAKE THESE THREADS?!

It would be hard for anyone to make up a 1 foot height disadvantage vs Tyson Fury.

No fighter ever combines the size, speed and boxing skills Tyson Fury has.

I'm guessing you mean prime & "elite"

Good luck finding someone like that in the current division...

Even old Wlad is still way too good for most heavys to handle...

so why make these threads, that underlines my point further yes.

not necessarily elite, just good. a real contender, andits true, the only possibility close is Windmill.

nothing wrong with this thread, its a fair question,

I would take Tyson, would be a interesting fight, in his prime Tyson had far better stamina as well as far better speed :bbb

The height difference between Ali 6'3 and Floyd Mayweather 5'7 is 8 inches. Fury 6'9 would have a 10 inch height advantage over Tyson 5'11. Keep that in mind. And Fury is a great boxer even better than Klitschko.
