:goodyes i agree. And if he carries on just the way he's going, come new year we'll be more equiped to assess where his career is going. Mcall's to big a leap just yet. Whats the rush? The lad has all the time in the world.
I think we are forgetting just how young this guy is. He is barely a real man. What is he, 21 or something! I want to see him moved quickly but taking in all the necessary experience. He doesn't have to fight for the title for another few years until he has about 20 fights. However in that time he can fight for the commonwealth, british, european and fight some big british showdowns.
They should not move Fury too fast, give him a chance to settle down. He hasn't even fought for a year yet. He can beat McCall, but it's still a dangerous fight so early in his career. Not need to fight him quite yet.
He isn't ready for McCall if we are being protective. We are talking about 44 year old heavyweight who in all honesty would be perfect for an sure 8 rounder or he'd be perfect when Fury wants to step up to 10. McCall is durable and will give him the rounds yet he has the power to make him come prepared for the fight and be focused.
why pick on the older generation? Haye done that - with Arthur Williams and Carl Thomspon. Leave the old guys draw their pension. Fury should stick to his own generation. Fury should fight Elijah McCall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oliver McCalls son A upcoming unexposed unbeaten heavyweight He KO Fury :bbb
it certainly was a strange move by claude abrams, putting the suggestion on the front cover.Strange for a boxing man to make a bold statement ,, unusual,,unless he knows something we don't? and lets not forget hopoate is a second-career rugby player, not that it should lessen mcalls win,,but do's raise questions of quality of opponents?. i wouldn't write off fury's chances as quick as some of this threads contributers, nor do i think he should take this fight this soon either, but it wouldn't suprise me if they get matched up in a couple of fights away.
:yep I agree with what you say about Elijah. I think that Elijah would kick Fury's ass, but little McCall still has a lot to learn and he is too inexperienced to be in with a guy like Fury just yet. Give him a few years and we will see. Elijah is a friend of mine, and I wouldn't want to see him mismatched at this early stage of his career.
Fury is doing great right now and getting better with every fight. He needs more time to mature within a ring. He has a lot of talent, fast hands, big and only 20 years old, incredible.
Then call me Nooby McNoob, son, because I think it's a terrible idea to make Fury fight McCall at the moment. Unless they could make it a 4-rounder. Unlikely, that.
I just hope Fury keeps fighting often and moves up fast so we can see how good he really is, but it does take time.
I was with both Elijah and OLiver McCall last week in Las Vegas, Tyson Fury is 2 years away from a fight with anyone of McCalls seasoning, trust me, i think Olivers son Eli would be a better fight for Tyson Fury and in that one i give Elijah the edge.. Tyson Fury would struggle with John Hopoate , the man who just 2 weeks ago was Ko'd by Oliver in 2 rounds.. Trust me..
