    EU Heavyweight Championship
    Tyson Fury vs Richard Towers

    Dear Sirs,

We inform you that the terms for the above mentioned EU championship expired today but we didn’t receive any bids.

Therefore, we are calling for new purse offers and the last term will expire on Monday 16th January 2012 at 12 noon (Rome office hours).

Of course, if we do not receive any bid on such a new date, both the boxers will be removed since we will gather that any promoter is interested on this fight.

    Yours sincerely,

    Enza Jacoponi,
    General Secretary

Why doesnt Tyson go after Helenius seeing how Chisora pretty much beat him for the real European title?

Seriously the EU dont mean ****

  6. You can't realistically sell an EU title fight here, it's a bit like trying to flog a ''John O'Groats to Land's End + Wales and NI'' title really.

    Not the real thing.

I doubt the average C5/Daily star reader is going to know that. With the title attached that could do huge numbers for C5, maybe even close to what they got for Chisora vs Fury.

Helenius beats Fury IMO. In shape Chisora beats the **** out of Fury aswell.

    Fury is terrible.

'Terrible' fighters don't usually beat out-of-shape fighters much better than them.

Del Boy lost the fight convincingly. Not certain he'd do enough for a complete reversal in shape, maybe I'm wrong.

If Fury hadnt hurt his hand he might have stopped Chisora.

He isnt a terrible figher, he has his flaws but some redeeming qualities imo

Deffo'. Poor punching form, little stamina and no defence but good powers of recovery, grit and output despite this.

He tries hard. He should try harder in the gym. He's still young, little amateur experience. A win over a guy now in a lot of people's top ten (abysmal division don't get me wrong) Fair play to him I say.
