Some guy on here saying Fury would beat Ali ? I was trying to think of a fighter from yesteryear that would make a 50-50 matchup. Burt Biggs fits the bill. The 15-0 Biggs that went in with Mike or the Biggs that showed up versus Bowe , versus Dusseldorf Fury. Neither fighter would fear the other as no big bombs. Both fighters would fancy outboxing the other. Your views ?
Whoever Said Fury would beat Ali is seriously deluded. Back to the question I think Biggs before mike Tyson would beat fury Let's see what Fury does in future maybe we will think different but if he was around in that era I doubt he would have become world champ
Im not saying your forecast of the result is incorrect sir, im just wondering what factors make you so supremely confident ?
'One of the best ever'? Surely you are jesting? I give it to Fury that he managed to do what nobody recently have been able to do and head to Germany and beat Vlad via a close decision - but we need to see many more of his fights before we can start handing him such accolades.
That's your opinion Show me video evidence of a better fighter then Tyson Fury I won't hold my breath because it dosen't exist
Biggs was big, mobile, and had skills. He'd actually match up pretty well with Fury. I think I favour Fury for this one due to the size advantage, but it's by no means cut and dried.
Really don't get this tyson fury goat business. He beat a long reigning but old champ. Just like Michael spinks did and just like jess willard did. Are they classed as the 'greatest'? For crying out loud fury s not even made a defence yet
Like montz says, let's see what fury does in the next say ten years. Then we can say he s the greatest..... Or just a guy who got lucky with a old champ
Biggs certainly has skills but I'm not sure how he'd deal with the size disadvantages he'd have with Fury. I think it's possible Biggs could outbox Fury and win a decision, but Fury's ability to wrap you up when close and put his weight on you would definitely drain the energy out of Tyrell.. skill 4 skills Biggs is better, but that size doe...
I have some respect for Fury. He's a good guy despite some of the publicity. To say Tyrell was a failure is simply unfair. 2 X National champ as an Amateur plus world champ plus Olympic Gold. Won first 15 as a pro , then took peak Tyson 7 rounds. That's no failure. Just a guy who came up short at the very highest level. I think any fair debate , has to include some respect for these guys, without making frankly silly comments. Fury is elusive for a big guy but packs no pop. Biggs had a superb jab. It's a great match up.
Tyrell Biggs had his collar bone Broken and barely battled back to victory against a seedy fringe guy named Jeff Simms. Granted he showed heart and still got the win, but not against the greatest opponent either. Tyrell didn't have a very good chin and virtually no snap to his punches. Ten years into the pros he was still making the same mistakes he made in the amateurs... Fury has to be favored to over power and overwhelm the smaller, light hitting and somewhat fragile Biggs
Fury is much more skilful then Biggs if biggs had a jab like Fury and Fury's footwork and head movement he might have beat Tyson Tut tut Louie
You are seriously deluded Biggs was a good amature but as a pro he was a failure He only went 7 rounds with Tyson because Tyson wanted to torture him in that ring and that is a well known fact, iron mike could have knocked him out in the first few rounds if he wanted too Fury has plenty of pop on his punches you are just lying here It's a terrible match up for Biggs and this thread is rubbish
