Warren mentioned all the available dates and said it was not an option. Hearn said he heard they had that date (supposed hearsay.)
I'll try and find that interview (due know who the interview was with?). Hearn stated that he enquired for that date and was informed Queensberry had booked it.
Great post, @Brixton Bomber You just about made it to the five word mark. Nice touch with the smiley face.
Sorry, just want to know which media they with so I can see myself (IFL boxing social etc) but haven't come across Warren denying that had the venue booked yet.
I can't remember, but it was on one of them. He also said Tyson does not want to fight that ok ate in month (remember he expects to beat AJ and wants to fight Usyk who is available from March.)
Warren had a venue booked for December 17th but that was for Usyk unification match possibility when Fury realised he was going to have to do a voluntary defence instead to get a fight this year he decided on a November date so he'd been in better sync if Usyk comes out in the new year wanting to fight February or March that was how I interpreted it from what Warren & Fury have said it makes sense
@Mitch87 was "corrected" with partially wrong information... And it certainly didn't undermine anything he wrote: 1) Fury was willing to fight another opponent on the Dec 17th - correct 2) Fury wasn't willing to take the loser side of the purse on the rematch - correct As @tee_birch said: Fury is just leveraging his position as Champion. Joshua used to do the same thing. But let's not give Fury a pat on the back for it.
I think talk of Feb came from ESPN. Recently, Usyk's side said first quarter of 2023. In boxing promoter terms that usually means late first quarter: closer to April This content is protected https://www-*****-net.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.*****.net/2022/09/08/fury-vs-joshua-collapses-eddie-hearn/?amp=1&_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw==#amp_tf=From %1$s&aoh=16631442513837&csi=1&referrer=https://www.google.com&share=https://www.*****.net/2022/09/13/fury-vs-joshua-bluff-dec-3-response/ edit: it was on World Boxing News: Anthony Joshua calls Tyson Fury's bluff, awaits Dec 3 response
yes I'm not sure Arum cares much about Fury v AJ it makes sense for Fury to prefer November/ early December though, for a voluntary.
If England are Runners Up in Group B, then they'll face the Winners of Group A at 1500 the same day as the Fury v AJ fight. Pub. All dayer. Sorted. Stuff £30 PPV. £30 ADA (All Day Ale) (If England win their Group, then they play at 1900 the following day, Sunday).
