AJ looked pretty bad last time out. Fury looked like he'd have beaten any active HW not named Oleksander Usyk last time. I have to bet on Fury here.

That's the thing about Fury -- I don't think he's washed. If he lives the life and isn't currently ballooning up and getting kicked out of bars for being too drunk, he could absolutely win a belt.

His timing was good. Stamina was good. Movement and agility was good. Defense was good. Was still awkward and unpredictable with his offense. I think he'd take out anyone other than Usyk.

Of course he just made two MASSIVE purses in a row. And AJ would be another. Probably really hard to care much after that. I wouldn't. I'd just live my life.

A retired Fury would actually be a fun one to have around on the scene at fights for color commentary. Imagine him and AJ doing the commentary on a fight together -- might be pretty humorous, and it's not like the two of them don't know boxing and can't talk. (I seriously think DAZN needs to lean into having some entertaining commentators) "He just hit that bloke harder than Riuz hit you!" "Really, you go there?" "Harder than Wlad hit you?" "Nah, not quite that hard."

Or imagine Fury doing the in-ring interviews after a fight, being free to be himself and not have to be straight laced about it.

Fury on points, but I give Joshua a decent chance at stopping Fury. Actually a small chance but it's possible lol.

My mind only sees 2 outcomes when I picture this fight

    1) Fury giving Joshua an absolute schooling and it's a total shutout over 12 rounds.

    2) Joshua puts him down pretty early (Round 4,5) and Fury isn't able to recover. We're not dealing with a one dimensional slugger like Wilder. I think once Joshua has him hurt, he has enough skills + power to go in for a brutal finish before Fury has a chance to recover.

    Genuinely tough one to call.

I slightly favour Fury atm but that isn't a confident pick.
I think both would be quite wary of the other with Fury doing a bit more down the stretch to get a close decision in fight that doesn't really catch fire

Could have a completely different opinion tomorrow though

    Fury easily

    boxes his nut off

AJ has nothing to offer. Slow feet. Dumb. Ugly. Poor mentality. Scared. Chinny.

& no doubt Ben Davison would sabotage him

Fury's lack of power will give AJ hope but that will make him careless and probably end up getting KO'd mid fight by Fury who is running away on the cards

The idea that AJ has something for Fury when he has one meaningful win in 6 years - against Andy Ruiz- is laughable.

I know he has a cult like following still but AJ doesn't win fights when his power can't carry the day, and he has consistently shown that.

You can give him a punchers chance but a stationary boxer like him will always struggle against mobile opponents.

He is not cultured enough a fighter to pose a serious threat to Fury.
