Iron Mike isn’t beating Fury. The obvious reason why is just the huge size disparity between them, but more than that Fury is cunning at using his size to take down smaller opponents and that’s always proven disaster for Mike. Mike could beat him on points, but what’re the odds of Fury ever letting Mike get close to him to do that without being able to land uppercuts which Mike is vulnerable to?
This isn't a comment on whether Mike would beat Fury or not either, but it is worth pointing out Fury would hold similiar size advantages over Mike that a Zebra does over a Lion.
Nice analogy Greg - though intuitively I think Giraffe for Fury, especially as compared to Mike. Lol. I remember when Mike faced off in the ring against 6’6” Kevin McBride - the height pull looked insane. Fury is about an inch taller than that again. See below for one of the better breakdowns I’ve read re Lions vs Zebras - the plural “Lions” being one of the key factors to their potential success - take downs being a group effort. Otherwise Lions go for young Zebras or injured/ill adult Zebras. In the wild of course animals are merely trying to feed via the path of least resistance - not put on a PPV event - haha. Though two personally aggrieved Grizzlies going at each other is a sight to be hold. Anyway, Lions vs Zebs: - https://a-z-animals.com/blog/lion-vs-zebra-who-would-win-in-a-fight/
