I've heard before that Bobby Ball is a bell end. Apparently he still acts like a big time Charlie even though he hasn't been relevant in 30 years

Don't tell me that, I used to love cannon and ball as a kid, even had some red "rock on Tommy!" braces! I always assumed he was a decent chap but there's a few of you saying he's actually a nob. It is funny to think of him still giving it the big I am - the 80s are long gone, he's less of a star than dusty bin!

I can tell you that you’re absolutely right. He could be nice on occasion but mostly I found him to be arrogant. I was sat next to him one time and he said to me ‘I bet I’m biggest person you’ve sat next to aren’t I’? I joked back saying ‘if you’d asked me that 30 years ago’ and he gave my knee an aggressive little squeeze. His sons are two of the nicest most genuine blokes you could meet.

Mate, it’s a feat of endurance - impressive like watching a floor display of gymnastics. More power to them. But I’m not going to join in with grown-ass men who pretend scripted gymnastics are a combat sport in which the beef is in any way ‘real’. It’s not knocking the freakish prowess of practioners to say that. I’m glad you enjoy it, not knocking you. Just let’s not pretend that it’s not pretend.

Again I don't actually watch it I just don't go round laughing at them for being fake tough guys because they would still wipe the floor with me either way.

This is a boxing site amigo. Nobody is trolling wrestling fans. But, as a fan of boxing on a boxing site, I think it's fair to make the general point that wrestling is a scripted, non-spontaneous business. If you imagine the 'stars' all wander around getting angry with eachother and the beef is really significant, then you probably haven't thought through how they rehearse events. In these senses, your answer is YES they are 'fake tough guys', just like any other actor. They are gymnasts though. On a personal physical level what a gruelling sport.

Wrestling is an odd one. There’s a (possibly apocryphal) story about Vince McMahon confiding that he was never really sure about adults who were into it because ultimately he knew his target market were children.

I get that the people involved have to be athletic, essential brave, and willing to hurt themselves. But that’s about it. Most of them come across like essentially crap stuntmen. I don’t really find myself thinking I have new found respect for a guy who’s decided to shred his ear off with barbed wire whilst having a pretend fight.

But it’s very cartoonish. Good guy beats the bad guy type stuff. I don’t know, but adults who are really into stuff for kids give me the creeps.
