Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder lll - Discussion

Fury.

Probably KO or wide UD.

The two fights we've already seen have shown a huge gulf in class and ability between the two, it's not a fight we need to see again but that's the way sometimes - it'll be a crying shame if Wilder wins, but he always has a chance with the power he's got, despite being levels away from matching Fury for technique, ring IQ or skill.

Fury by KO in 3/4 rounds.
The second Fury connects with anything meaningful, Wilder will lose his "equilibrium" (lol) again and be beaten to a pulp.
After all the excuses and the wimpy headphones, I honestly think we may see Wilder have a McCall type mental break down in the ring.

 

All things being equal, Fury dominates from the outside and out-hustles Wilder on the inside.
But I have a horrible feeling the fix is in and we see a fourth, maybe a fifth fight ending with a Fury retirement to America. Neither ever fight AJ or Whyte.
Sorry to be so pessimistic and I truly hope I'm wrong and my cynicism is misjudged. What do you all think about that possibility?

 

If Fury fails to stop him by the 10th anything can happen IMO

I strongly feel Fury drops him by the 9th but Wilder is so unorthodox you never know

 

If Wilder's mind & strategy is right - he'll get his vindication by a mid-late round KO. TIMBEEERRR!

 

Nah, I'm 99% sure if Wilder wins he'll run away with the belt claiming he won the first and go back to fighting journeymen like he has for 90+% of his career.

 

Look at the second fight: Fury sent Wilder to the canvas three times (twice in the 3rd, once in the 5th) and it was stopped with more than 4/9 of the fight remaining; it was only a matter of time and Fury could have put far more damage on Wilder. Scott is highly unlikely to throw the towel in this time but knowing that this is the case, the referee may well stop the fight more quickly than he would otherwise like to. Wilder is more likely to get himself disqualified and Fury won't want to leave anything to the judges, feeling that the officials were against him in the first two fights. Wilder is still psychologically damaged by the last fight, has never dealt with prolonged inactivity, is older and more worn and Fury knows that he can KO Wilder. The safest way to beat Wilder is to take him out early and Fury will want to make a statement.

Fury by KO/TKO/DQ is the most likely fighter win method according to the bookies. You can insure against a Wilder KO by going from evens to 2/5 for the fight not to go the distance but I'm not going to do this. The hedge can also blow up in your face if the fight does somehow go the distance.

Fairly certain fury takes it. He's league's ahead of wilder in so many ways so I'm sure he doesn't even have to be at absolute peak to beat him.

Not that it remotely means anything but I do get this "vibe" that wilder will win, though. I think cause it's so "obvious" fury is better, has the confidence of already stopping wilder, wilder is limited and too long in the tooth to really change, etc., it feels ludicrous that wilder can win ... which for some reason has burrowed into my head and manifested as "upset".
