I will admit, like most I was hoping for more back and forth. And the build-up has been **** as most can admit.

But outside of the niceties, what I gleaned from Whyte was that the lack of build up has been on the shoulders of one man: Warren, who made zero denial of the assertion, which says it all. Also noted that Whyte has been getting stalled on a title shot by the WBC since "late 2017." (This lines up with when the WBC started going back and changing public documents to position Breazeale as the mandatory ahead of Whyte). So, there are two points that put to bed all the bull**** posted on this forum day after day for weeks if not months now.
(I get it. Many of you fan boy for Fury. I'm picking Fury too btw)

Question for the boxing historians, has anyone else been stonewalled by an org for longer than 5 years (post-Color Line)?
These are Haggler and Liston type numbers.

Can you really count any time period from Q4 of 2020 until now though? He got KO'd, wouldn't that reset the clock?

Does it reset the clock? I don't think so. The WBC have it written that the champion faces a mandatory every year. If you keep stalling the number 1 until he loses, the champion would never face a mandatory, which goes against the rule. So logically that would suggest that it doesn't reset.

But, either way, that is still 3 years of getting screwed over leading up to Povetkin 1.
Hagler was before my time, so I can only go off his record. He took two loses in 76/77 and got his first overdue title shot in 79. Whyte took a loss in 2020, won the rematch, and it's now 2022.

Marquez was famously Hamed’s mandatory for 2 or more years in the late 90s.
    He never got his shot.

Does anyone if John Fury has replied to Dillian Whyte's dads call out? or will he bottle it like he did against Mick Theo.
