Was Fury unprofessional when he claimed his car broke down before the Klitschko presser for the rematch? Or was he just a coke sniffing, PEDs cheating, nandrolone taking liar? Which one?
A boxer trying to tank an event financially is absolutely pathetic. Was Whyte going to try and "tank" the event had Hearn won, who bidded less than Warren and Arum? Whyte was the one who sent this to purse bids all along, Arum and Warren offered him another deal which I think was 5 million and a percentage of PPV and he turned that down as well. Whyte has shown himself to be unprofessional and childish and hopefully he gets the beating of his life and he ****s off out of boxing for good.
They went out of their way to deprive him of money and now he's reciprocating the same energy that he was given. He's guaranteed his money whether the event flops or succeeds. Let Arum and Warren figure out how they're going to make a profit off of their miscalculated tactics. I for one love it.
Again you refused to answer my question around Hearns purse bid? And what evidence do you have that Warren and Arum are trying to **** Whyte over? Whyte has made ridiculous demands the entire way through negotiation and tried to duck the fight at the last minute anyway. Any boxing fan saying they are "loving this" is just lame and a rim boy for Whyte. the build up is part of the fights story.
It's pretty funny seeing Warren have a meltdown. BT can't be happy and if they can't shoot any footage with Whyte for programming for the build up content that is not a good look. No doubt that Whyte not taking part in any promotional activities will effect the buyrate. Casual fans still need to be hooked in and if all they see is Tyson Fury with no opponent in sight then why the heck would they buy the fight?
Dillian trying to tank an event which he is headlining with Fury makes absolutely no sense. This will be the biggest (to date) fight of his career and he wants an empty arena. As boxing fans we pay to be entertained which in turn pays the boxers and he’s robbed the public of part of the build up which we were most looking forward to. Money is relative but $8 million is a lot of money to fight even though one fight ago he was poleaxed by a 40 year old man who was far cry from being at his best. He should have shown up just for the fans.
It's fun to see Fury fans so pissed off. They are trying to play it, but Fury team was absolutely smashed. Good job on Whyte, this is his payback towards WBC and team Fury. Frank Warren and his Queensberry Promotions may very well bankrupt after this fight - hahahhaha. No way in hell even with press they would get even close to the money they gave. They may have an agreement with Fury, that they will pay him way less, depends on the money they make, and just play it BIG for theatricality, but there is no way in hell they will get close to 40m. from this fight. And the whole mental destroying b.c. that comes out of Fury fans is next to pathetic. This is some kids being brainwashed by the fat man. Wasn't Connor Conor McGregor fans saying the same, until he actually stepped up and get destroyed ? I doubt any decent prepare fighter care what Fury speaks. Also team Fury once again shows that they are completely incompetent. They should have expected this and put clauses in the contract, for Whyte being obligated to be in the pressers. But you need a brain for that, and Fury team obviously lack that. While i expect Whyte to lose, and as i said i rate his chanced at 35% at best, he so far is doing team Fury big damage, making them wonder how much money they are going to lose. And he doesn't need anything to think about. Fury antics may work for 15 years old, but not on a grown man.
The whole event should be an occasion and a representation of British boxing, it's ****ing idiotic people cheering on the 'silence'.
It's a shame Whyte didn't turn up as the build up to this event could have been fun. In terms of sales I can't see it making a significant impact. It probably does a million on PPV and, 60-80K in Wembley which I expect covers the $41m bid. If Whyte turned up and threw a table you might be able to eek another 100,000 buys maybe but either way, this fight is an easy sell.
Exactly. I don’t understand how anyone can be a fan of this guy. He cries and cries for years that people are “ducking him” and “freezing him out”, so when Fury finally gives him a title shot AND the biggest payday of his career BY FAR, he doesn’t show up to the presser to talk to his fans and acknowledge that he finally has the opportunity he’s been claiming he wants all these years… Judging by his complete silence on social media, you wouldn’t even know that he’s got a fight scheduled. Surely if he cared about his fans he would have some sort of communication with them? That’s what it’s been about the whole time: he doesn’t care about the titles or his fans, it’s just about the money for this pretender.
Who cares? He's a boxer, not our boyfriend. If people find him entertaining in the ring, then he will have some fans. Josh Taylor has plenty of fans on this forum, and he's an odious little bloke.
