I never felt that Hearn would have a realistic chance of being lead promoter of this fight to begin with so his bid was more of him going through the formalities for me. Whyte's participation has no bearing on whether I will watch the fight or not so I'm not bothered in the slightest. He can skip the press conference, tours, ESPN shows, The gloves gloves are off, and anything else that he was not stipulated to do. If Arum and Warren want to see a return on their investment I guess they'll pay him extra to participate or maybe they'll play hardball and continue looking like a circus. And once again I love it, as the saying goes " **** you pay me".

This is about Whyte. One does not justify the other.

The last two Fury Press Conferences have seen opponents terrified and shaking. Wilder showed up with headphones and refused to even interact with Tyson and Whyte is so scared he didn’t even show!

Those are just the indisputable facts. I have no idea what you are blathering about above and I only could get through half of your post.

After Whyte gets smashed within 6 rounds his absence is going to be even more embarrassing.

This is not even considering how badly he is tanking his own value for future fights since he is acting like a petulant child instead of a businessman. Who would trust this idiot in the future when thinking about business?

Yeah, yeah kid you can believe whatever nonsenses you wanna believe. A guy that grow up with fighting is scared of the fat man in a rhyme contest.
I guess most of Connor fans are now Fury fans, and are repeating the same b.c.

Maybe use your brain for a bit, and then you will understand why Whyte didn't want to come to the press.

I personally think its brilliant - I am not a fan of either fighter btw
Warren / Arum thought they had royally screwed Whyte over by making him take a lowball % of the take (not getting into the rights or wrongs of the %)
They further thought they had played a blinder by highbidding on the pursebids
They are clearly not as smart as they thought they were and should have sorted their contracts out properly
From Whytes POV he can stay in his training camp and refuse all promotion - he is being paid whatever happens
Fury can try talk up this being his last fight etc to try boost numbers but the reality is the promotors will be deeply worried that no promotion hurts the take badly and leaves them with a financial loss - they look very exposed potentially
I dont know if Fury has a guarantee of earnings?
I am interested in the fight not the pantomime beforehand
The suggestion above that Whyte is too scared to turn up is laughable

That is really surprising to me and if so fair play to Fury because he clearly has garnered popular opinion/the casual fan that he didn't have previously. I don't really see Whyte as the A-side in terms of popularity

Looking forward to the fight though!

Whyte's sabotaging his long term career with this Bs.

Who would want to work with him or his crappy stable after this besides "billion dollar budget" hearns

The way Whyte is acting, he's going to need a KO to get the win, no matter how well he boxes. Hell, he might need a KO to get a draw.

This was always going to sell out, Fury has not fought in the UK since 2018 and has just come off a huge trilogy. His brand is big over here now.

It's going to be an interesting atmosphere to be honest, it'll be more ruckus than AJ fights.

Very frustrating Whyte didn't turn up to the press conference!

Who would want to face Fury verbally, you'd get absolutely slaughtered.
If it's a Title fight like this though it's your job to show up, Is there a second press conference for this one?

This will end up being Whyte's legacy. The press conference no show, getting humiliated in the ring by Fury, and getting absolutely splattered by Povetkin.

I agree with the conclusion, but the way Whyte has been acting will have had no effect on Arum and Warren influencing officials.

    Contrast:
Lopez v Kambosos Jr. (Not under Arum control)

    Lomachenko v Lopez (under Arum)
    Dubois v Joyce (under Warren)
    Taylor v Catterall (under Arum)
Fury v Wallin (under Arum and Warren)

With the undisputed fight being on the line, Whyte only ever had a punchers chance.

Who has wanted to work with him before this?

To my knowledge only Sky and Dazn have really worked with Whyte through Hearn. Ben Shalom (Boxxer/Sky) and Hearn (Marchroom/DAZN) both have made noises about wanting to get him on their platforms in the past few weeks, with Shalom publicly backing him against the WBC.

It's likely no skin off his nose to **** off (Warren)BT sport and (Arum)ESPN.
