Massive embarrassment to the sport of boxing, thankfully AJ restored its dignity

All true. But he got well paid and is probably set for life.

For what it's worth I thought Fury nicked it.
But I more look back on the 'event' rather than the fight, with a little more context ... This for me was the peak of my frustration with Fury for holding up the undisputed fight. I considered the Ngannou bout completely pointless. But now I view it as a good thing because the backlash effectively forced Fury into taking the Usyk fight - which he had been avoiding.

What rounds did Fury clearly win ? He was passive and didn't throw a punch in anger.

Ngannou scored a knockdown and there should've been another knocked down as Ngannou scored a legit knockdown in round 7 that wasn't called by the referee. Not to mention Ngannou landed more power punches in the fight and was able to make it his kind of fight.

A book could be written on how close boxing was to going down the crapper if AJ lost to Ngannou.

It was a robbery because there was an unscored knockdown that would have swung the outcome. Otherwise it was fine.

Fury lost even if he won.
I think the punches he took also helped Usyk hurt him months later.

Fury made an entire career out of making a joke of himself. I'm glad the door is closing and soon enough it'll hit him in the ass properly as he exits the sport.

Tyson deserved this one badly; the guy has not taken the sport seriously since at least Wilder 3. It was bound to happen sooner or later. The Fury era between Wilder 2 and Usyk 1 has been nothing but a mess.

Fury looked unbelievably washed and I thought he was finished but then he looked quite good against Usyk so maybe not.

He just about squeaked a win.

I was surprised to see Fury holding his own at range with Usyk despite being a shell of his former self

Don’t care if it was a robbery or not.

It was a circus sideshow that should never have been allowed to happen and was proven as such when AJ damn near decapitated Ngannou in his next fight.

Fury did his legacy no favours and the other goose is now literally nothing more than laughable curiosity in the history of prizefighting.

Wasn't AJ-Ngannou the 9/11 for supposed UFC "boxers"?

9/11 for UFC would be if a boxer went to the UFC and gave the UFC champ a tough fight. The reverse of Fury-Ngannou.
