So first chicken Fury dodged a fight with the red giant David Price and now he is ignoring calls to fight the bronze bomber Deontay Wilder and it looks like Mr Tyson Fury will go down the familiar route and choose to fight a boxing pensioner in James Toney

    well done Fury :bart

Well, props to Deontay for attempting to fight... but I don't know if Wilder is ready yet.. I mean, he finally stepped up and it was a baby step

Wilder vs Fury would be a good fight at this stage whoever lands first would win, but Wilder has better movement and Fury's defense is terrible so I think Wilder would beat him, Fury's scared

toney barley "beat" Danny Batchelder..one of the judges had toney losing the fight by 2 rounds. Toney wouldnt win a round against a guy a foot taller than him, 18 years younger sorry

Fury doesn't see fights with next generations stars because he knows fighting them at this juncture wouldnt pay well enough.

His best payday was probably Chisora and he prolly made like 100K, IDK. But he could fight guys like Maddalone or Gavern or Ding and make similar money as he would if he chose to fight let's say Wilder.
Now Price would likely pay more as it would be a local big hyped fight, but imagine in 3-5 yrs when theyre both still undefeated and fighting in a unification fight for world titles. Hell, maybe 10mil each.
    Same goes for Wilder/Mitchell/Jennings/Arreola.
Fury knows there are about a dozen guys out there, himself included, that are gonna be serious contenders in the post Klit era. And he likely sees himself as an immediate titlist when the K2 are gone.
I think he's smartly saving those bigger money fights for down the road soas to turn them into world level events and mega paydays.

Yeah I agree he's probably gonna keep himself undefeated until the klits retire because all the rising heavyweights are not too far apart in skill level but the only thing is how is this guy gonna improve if he keeps fightin bums, the guy fights some old men that still manage to push him back so eventually when he steps up his defense is still gonna be ****

If Fury goes ahead with this fight, I'll be pissed.

He can move up fighting guys like Dimitrenko, Peter, Oquendo, Chagaev, and throw in some journeymen like Bydenko Petcovic, Bahtov, Ding and Gavern.

If he fights B and C level guys and dominates some, while being tested by others, he could essentially build himself into an undefeated star.
Imagine clowning Oquendo in Chicago, then bringing Dimtrenko to the UK and KOing him. Throw in a journeyman stay busy fight, then off to MSG for a fight with Mitchell.

Just saying. All these fights help him abilitywise and confidence and starpower wise.:deal

Thing is Fury is very young and in no rush, he can make nice dough fighting B and C level guys for a couple years and steadily learn his trade while improving physically and building his brand name. Play it safe basically.
