Who wins this heavyweight match up. Does fury outbox louis? Does fury walkdown Louis ? Or does louis struggle with fury then figures him out and stops him This content is protected This content is protected
Good thread, really tough to say. Fury is undoubtedly skilled but you "Feel" Louis is the better all round fighter & the KO power is with him & his chin...but Furys 84" reach & his slipperyness/footwork may well get him the win...I guess my deceision will be quite unpopular(so what) a draw but leaning towards Louis TBH...
Buddy Bear is pretty much a bum compared to Fury to be honest. I wonder if Fury put on his dancing shoes and fought Joe like he did Wlad, I don't see a damn thing Louis can do about it. Fury UD. I'm not saying that's Fury's only chance, just that it would be pretty hard for Louis to beat that.
That's a very strong statement. Fury doesn't exactly have a very deep resume and Baer had about twice as many fights as Fury. That said I think it would be a good fight in the early rounds, but Fury most likely would get cut down by Louis in the mid to late rounds.
Fury is such a riddle. He really is a thousand questions. I could never make a case for him being better than Joe Louis, I wouldn't even try but I don't know how Joe beats him. For me, only Ali and Lennox Lewis have a better than even shout at beating Fury. Foreman and Larry Holmes would be dark horses worth a punt . There have been many better Champions than Tyson Fury but not many I would fancy to beat him if that makes any sense. Fury is the cloud to every silver lining !
LOL. I can't believe people actually debate the result of these vintage match-ups. Who would win, Djokovic or a tennis player from the black and white era? No, really, it would be so close and we just couldn't tell! Of course when 70IQ+CTE+drugged up morons like Mike Tyson come out and say Ali would win their match-up it only helps validate the 'golden era' brigades. But in reality Tyson is just trying to pay respect to his bruvva. Prime Tyson would destroy Ali and the Frazier/Ali match-up makes that clearer than day.
Joe Louis was a stationary fighter at 6'1 and 1/2" Tyson Fury is a slick mover at 6'7 and 1/2" with a 85 inch atg jab. Not to even talk about the infighting skills and weight bullying oppurtunity advantage here. How can this even be up for debate?
Horrible post from someone who DKSAB. Tyson wanted nothing to do with a 75 year old fat George Foreman in the early to mid 90's, I can't imagine him besting Ali from 66, although 88 Tyson comes close.
Joe Louis had the ability to knockout any man, he regularly fought SHW's throughout his career. Joe Louis isn't a shot, light hitting Steve Cunningham.
