I don't think he would have left himself open to Haye. He respected his power and knew the dangers. Cunningham has no power really. Its why he just overwhelmed him using his size advantage. I think Fury would overwhelm Pulev the same way. Fury's strength is underrated on this site. With the leverage over Wlad I give Fury the strength advantage during their clinches.
Well there aint much boxers who can maul chisora around, hes strong enough, and fury did it as a 22yr fat kid. Fury's speed would be too much for pulev, pulev may off looked semi fast fighting thompson, ustinov and dimitrenko, but last night he looked stiff as hell/
Because anybody Wlad ko's has to be a bum, right? Such sparkling logic. Pulev is still the #2 guy for me, above these mugs fighting end of the month and Stiverne/Wilder and anybody else you can mention, including Mr Joshua who will be protected for another year at least.
No fury wouldnt be able to KO Pulev like that, no way in hell. but he would beat pulev with reach and speed, also amatuerish left hand held out infront of him, is just a rangefinder for someone elses right hand. I think fury would of decisioned pulev.
I've always said Fury would beat Pulev. He is just the right height and style for Fury to tee off on him and his jab would be the only problem, even then he doesn't have the power to trouble him and would be taking a lot of shots for his trouble. Don't know about the knockout but I could see the fight being stopped after Pulevs face takes a pummeling.
Cunningham has no power yet dropped and hurt your boy Fury:huh Doesn't bode well when Fury finally stops barking and gets into the ring with Wlad.
Cunningham stopped Huck who arguably beat Povetkin at heavyweight, so Povetkin sucks right? Wrong, boxing doesn't work like that. You could go on all day about who beat who when etc, stick to boxrec pal. Fury gets underrated because he is hated so much, people judge with their hearts not their heads. Pulev is a very average heavyweight and always was. I wish Fury fought him instead of the Haye debacle, as he would have boxed rings around him.
Your man Wlad had some losses on his record when he was Older than Fury. :deal You "but, but...but, manny changed him... :/" Fury is still improving himself. He might meet a trainer who perfects his jab and make him into a robot.
I've never said Manny changed him. A young a Klitschko would brutalise any version so far of Fury. Go look at Wlads first WBO reign powerful combination punching at its best. It's a shame that Furys best victory to date is against a gate keeper in Chisora and a blown up cruiserweight in Cunningham.
Pulev actually has worse feet and movement that Fury, which is saying something. Both are appalling boxers and anyone with their level of skill would not be in the top 50 in something like the welterweight division. But this heavyweight division really is terrible which means they are contenders, if I had to pick a winner I would edge towards Fury.
