God, this would be such a bad fight. We saw Wlad and Fury fight. Yuck. Never need to see two Manny style heavyweights fight each other ever again.
Lennox would need to stop Fury inside 6 rounds to win this fight. He won't cope well with Fury's work rate in the second half of the fight. So either Lennox by stoppage inside 6 rounds or Fury by UD/stoppage in the last quarter of the fight
Lennox by decision. Fury will move & hit ("dancing") & not get enough damage (punch landed) to win. If he used tactic like fury vs wilder II he will knocked out.
If properly motivated, Lennox knocks Fury out cold. This Fury mania is getting almost as silly as the overrating Andy Ruiz was getting six months ago. Prime Lennox Lewis is a much more complete fighter than Tyson Fury.
what work rate? Fury's work rate was non existent in Wilder 1 .. He stayed outside looking busy .. His work rate diminished the second half of the fight and completely fell off the cliff in the 11th and 12th , throwing less than 20 punches in each round .. Just because Fury gained weight and pressured a guy who can't box .. is no indication he is going to do that to Lewis , with what his slap jab? .. In fact, Lewis is a far superior boxer to both Wilder and Fury , that he would break him down and stop him late
Boxing is all about timing. Lewis said that himself.. Based on that motto Fury can win. I think he could definitely beat certain versions of Lewis. Lewis from 1990-1995 and Lewis from 1999 onward. But Lewis in between those years would be an issue.
How many fighters did Lennox stop late? In the last quarter, hell even last third (rounds 9-12) of the fight? Answer is 0 (zero)
Maybe he stops him earler or it goes the distance after Fury is on the canvas ..My point is what is Fury going to do as you say with that work rate .. It isn't there and he often looks sloppy on offensive .. He has never fought a Lewis Caliber fighter , not even close
No joking about it. Lennox is far more skilled and hits much harder than anyone Fury faced. Fury has been dropped and hurt by C-level punchers.
