Any views? The Lewis that fought Vitali, was older, more ponderous and overweight compared to the prime Lewis version. I think prime Fury would win a 12 rounds decision.
I wonder if the jury is still out for a good many observers on the forum, in relation to this fantasy match-up; perhaps, waiting to see what happens next in Fury's story. I, for one, am hoping to see whether Fury has anything else to show us, against a different type of opponent, before he genuinely calls time on his career.
Wouldn’t say Lewis was overweight in that he turned into a lard loaded Tubbs or page kinda physique Sure he was a lot heavier than in his prime but he was putting the weight on gradually as the years went by an it wasn’t as if it was just fat. He was still a solidly built powerful looking dude even with the extra weight. Don’t remember any of the vids of his later fights anyone calling him fatso.
All I know is that if Lewis hit Fury with the same uppercut he did Vitali in that 6th round, then Fury is being sent to the shadow realm.
This...prime Lewis knocks the hell out of Fury imo. That said, I think Fury could finangle the win over this past-it Lennox. It's possible Tyson might be floored along the way, but he could definitely get by with a decision imo.
Yeah but unlike Wilder's sloppy finishing, if Lewis drops Fury and has him in trouble, he finishes the job with his superior skills.
It's almost been 20 years I beg ppl to get over Lewis-Klitschko. Ppl act like Vitali didn't become an ATG afterwards and much credit to Lewis for not over staying in the sport. That said, Fury could get the decision but if he hurts Fury he definitely can finish him off I predict mid rds.
I'm not sure about the Lennox Lewis version of his last career fight, but a peak Lennox Lewis would win. If Tyson Fury were to be knocked down, and I don't see why peak Lennox Lewis wouldn't succeed, when Neven Pajkic, Steve Cunningham, and Deontay Wilder succeeded; Lennox Lewis would get the job done because he is a great finisher.
