False. That’s a disingenuous straw man.

Name the world class super heavyweights, who you would not pick over Marciano?

World class means ranked above #5 at some point.

Fury is not even 30, is he? A work in progress.

I have him, in prime form as he was v Wlad, clowning Marciano to a lopsided decision.

Sorry, guys. Rocky was a good little fighter but that's about it.

I think the Fury that beat Wlad beats both of them.

Would like to point out that Marciano defeated Johnny Shkor in '50, who was world ranked in '47. Shkor was almost 6'5". Don't know what his reach was, though.

My head tells me that the obvious answer is Fury, who, by the way, I am a fan of. But My heart still wants to find a way to say the Rock and the Bomber. Fury certainly never faced anyone with the stamina of Marciano, and when the Rock got one through, he often literally crushed bones. He has his technique of intentionally letting a man block his punches to break his hands and arms, so it would be interesting.

I think Louis was the better of the two by a hair, and he had more experience with the big boys, and better two-fisted power.

Really I love all three of these guys, and just consider Marciano and Louis to be of a different era dominated by guys we would think of as cruiserweights. In the modern era, they would dominate cruiser, step up, find the right ABC guy and add a heavyweight belt, but yeah, there are guys they would badly struggle against.

Shkor had just been ko'd in a round by Walcott.

So he was ranked 3 years earlier wow!
If he was it wasn't for long because he isn't in the end of year ratings for 47 or any other year!
    1947
    Joe Louis, Champion

    1. Tami Mauriello
    2. Elmer Ray
    3. Jersey Joe Walcott
    4. Bruce Woodcock
    5. Lee Q. Murray
    6. Curtis Sheppard
    7. Melio Bettina
    8. Joe Baksi
    9. Joe Kahut
    10. Joey Maxim I'd like to point out Shkor had been ko' in 1 round by Walcott in his last fight and had only won 2 of his last 6 fights .Iwould further like to point out that Shkor was a journeyman whose record is
31-19-2 and he cut Marciano and gave him some problems early.
Marciano crushed no bones and he never deliberately targeted anyone's arms ,he just wasn't very accurate with his punches. Its these kind of fairy tales that get the backs up of objective posters.

    Yeah, blah, blah, blah.

You said that Cunningham would have been the tallest world level guy Maricano fought, and you were wrong. Shkor was world ranked at one point. You were factually incorrect. Just correcting you is all.

Also, no, Shkor was ranked, and therefore not a jounreyman.

And yes, it is a fact that Lastarza had to get surgery on his arms. So whatever.

No you're wrong, Shkor wasn't ranked when Marciano beat him and hadn't been for 3 years.
I repeat Shkor was not ranked when he fought Marciano, show me where he was.I would guess he was ranked for a month in 47 after he beat Mauriello but when he fought Marciano he was definitely on the way down ,in fact he had only one more fight then retired! Now blah blah blah that!!!
Just man up and say you're wrong you'll feel better afterwards.I always do!

I repeat Marciano crushed no ones bones! Lastarza had blood clots and a bone chip removed.FFS he was fighting Cockell 6 months later!
