All you guys who are picking Perez either don't know how to evaluate talent or have never seen him fight outside of Prizefighter.

Here's Perez against a 4-27-5 fighter that had been knocked out 11 times previously (11 times!).

    [yt]GUg3HFFJdZQ[/yt]

Mrazek spends half the fight laughing at Perez's weak punches. He's a punching bag but Perez can't hurt him at all and eventually starts looking frustrated that this tomato can doesn't slump to his knees like the rest of them, and his output starts going way down. The fight is ultimately stopped on a tiny cut around Mrazek's eye, give Perez a freebie TKO to add to his resume.

None of his other fights are impressive either. He has a high output but is small, stump armed and feather fisted. He's not even a real prospect and Tyson Fury would obliterate him without breaking a sweat.

Can't see Perez beating Fury. Perez has some nice skills but he's WAY too small

This poll proves there are Irish fans out there.

Perez has done jack when it comes to boxing so far. So you can not rate him until he fights somebody with a pulse. I can argue my granny could knock Tyson out based on her potential.

When Perez has actually fought somebody post the thread again at the moment it is bollocks. Also the guy is flawed all over the place at least let him learn his craft.

It was a stupid thing to say anyway considering Fury is an Irish traveller while Perez is a Cuban living in Ireland.

British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is being lined-up to face recent Prizefighter winner and fellow unbeaten prospect Mike Perez at the King’s Hall in Belfast on 17 September. The fight will be screened live on Channel 5.

“An offer has been made to Perez’s team and we’re waiting to hear back from them now,” revealed Hughie Fury, the Uncle and trainer of Tyson to BoxRec News. “Perez is a good fighter, a southpaw, and is well known in Ireland (the Cuban has based his career in Ireland) so hopefully we’ll be able to get the fight on. Tyson sparred with Perez just prior to him turning pro – he held his own in the first session and in my opinion he dominated the second session,” added Hughie.

my understanding was that Perez coudnt fight for a title because his legal status.
hopes the fight goes thru..big test for perez, Fury is a huge dude not absent of decent talent.

Amazing fight if this is true, Im surprised Fury is taking on such a dangerous opponent. Very, very close fight. I probably I'm just about favoring Perez here. I don't know maybe I'm leaning about 55% in Perez's favor. This is why I like the HW division, yet another great 50/50 fight made this year. I only wish the lower weight classes could follow suit. Amazing the abuse the HW division gets yet the same people who hate it are wanking themselves off silly thinking about Mayweather's up coming fight against Ortiz. :yep I will certainly be at Belfast for this fight if it actually happens.
