It cracks me up that you can't interpret my comment properly!:patsch

    Read my comment again!

I merely use Fields to suggest that we don't yet know how Perez will cope with Fury's size..........NOT that Fields is any measuring stick!

My point is that Perez can't punch. It's pretty simple.

Tye Fields is a bum, no disagreement there. But Perez does have pop, and he has a good workrate. We know Fury still can't avoid big looping right hands over his jab, that is Perez signature punch thus far.

Perez will land these shots, along with many others, he will be able to slip Fury's jab, he will get close and unload. So far he seems pretty competent at not smothering himself.

Fury is a nice boxer but Perez has a hefty amateur background and can probably box real nice although I haven't seen it yet.

I'm not basing my perceptions of Perez on prizefighter, I've been to two of his fights in Ireland, and I've seen him training. He hits hard enough, trust me.

Again, I think Perez will have the early stages of this fight, if Fury survives (which I think he should) then he will take over later on. My two cents.

Perez sometimes comes in overweight... he's fought at 242 & 244lbs, despite being only 6'0 tall.

No he doesn't have much power. But he's 6'9" and can box.

What fight convinced you that Perez has pop?

Snipets from several fights, I'll see if I can find them...

Look at the body shots in this fight, I know he's fighting a journey man, but there's no denying body shots like that would chop you down over several rounds. Particularly at the 3:08 mark.

As for his right hand, sometimes he slaps with it, likewise with his straight left, but on other occasions he really whips it in with the body weight behind it. I'm not saying all his shots are bombs, but he can deliver.

I'm not rating his power as Foreman-esque, but to say he has no power at all is foolish.

But hey, I guess time will tell. Regardless of punch power, he can land on Fury and make it interesting, both can box, and both get hit, what more do you want?

Crazy poll, perez has yet to step up. Fields was always crap, now he is old and crap, busted up prior to getting in the ring with Perez.

Fury half dozen times now has step up to the mark. The only decent oppentents he has found have been british amongest the so call next big things.

Being Cuban does not make perez great. He might be but he needs to fight a Sexton, Rogan or fat boy (fought Tyson twice forget his name) first. I would be surprised if his team really make a serious offer to either tyson or price. Lets hope so, lot of easy money judging by your poll.

He looked terrible in the first one, but I'm not sure what fight you were watching for the rematch.
