Ali didn't need to use PEDs or snort coke to win his title either. And Ali and Fury deserve credit for getting up. But Ali would've cut Fury to ribbons. And you're one sorry poster lmao.

My bad. I kinda was hanging around in this thread too long trying to insult you. But I'll just let boxing fans put you in your place.

Ali's light years a head of cooper but that 1 fight out of a hundred is the fight where Ali gets stopped if he was'nt saved by the bell. Ali was in terrible shape

 Homie uses a little bit of Ali's posture and positioning game against good ol' 1-2 amatuer hour, can not get off the ****in' track to save his ass, Wlad and now he's too awkward for Ali? All he did was turn da mook.

Honestly, I struggle to believe anyone is taking this seriously including OP. I'll entertain your notion, but don't mistake my good natural for validation. This proposition is a joke. ****in' Spinks? You can't be serious.

I was actually disappointed in Fury's performance that night. I already knew he could beat Wlad on posture and position alone but even though he's massive he's got a better inside game too. I wish he did a little more pummeling, Ali would have. Sharp, hard, inside short hooks would have sent Wlad to sleep. Maybe that's why Tyson didn't do it. Maybe he wanted to take Wlad to a UD. I don't know, but what I do know is Ali was a master of those sort of punches and would have never given Wlad the honor of going a full fight with The Greatest.

Speaking of **** Ali is a master of, let's talk about line of sight. I think it's interesting Blizzy brings up Cunningham, but I think the conversation about size y'all're having is neither here nor there. I think what's really interesting about the Cunningham KD is the punch itself not who delivered it or what size they were. Like wise I'd say the punch that dropped Ali is more beneficial than discussing Harry. Every dog has it's day so why kick the dog instead on analyzing the day?

What Fury got dropped with was taught to me as a phantom overhead. I've seen maybe one or two articles ever discuss this punch, but it's there in HW boxing pretty consistently when you watch. Overhead is not a typo, I don't mean overhand. Mike Tyson and Rocky Marciano did them loads. It plays with line of sight and presents an unwinnable juxtaposition to an attacking boxer. Plenty have said Marciano used offense has defense, ima breaks it down a little. When you see the phantom overhead right most people call it a windmill or a sloppy overhand right. Those punks are counterfeits who never bothered to actually investigate technique, where is came from, or the theory behind it, they just spread their BS common knowledge and feel secure because most buy their bull**** without challenge. The punch is meant to fly above the the puncher's head, that's what makes it an overhead, if the fighter defending the punch looks at it they've taken their eyes off the puncher allowing him to spark them with their other hand. If they don't there is no way for the to guess where it's trajectory is. It looks obvious and sloppy from the outside, but from the boxer's perspective it flyings in and out of line of sight, hence phantom. By the time they do actually get eyes on it there is not time to adjust, they're ****ed. The only way to really defend against it is to jump off the track entirely which isn't an option if you yourself are mid attack. That's why it's an unwinnable juxtaposition or an attacking boxer and an excellent defensive punch that looks aggressively offensive.

Two Ton Tony, Brockton Blockbuster, Brown Bomber, Jersey Joe, Smokin' Joe, Greatest, Iron Mike, Tommy Gun all were very adapt to that punch.

I like Tyson, a lot, I really loved seeing him turn Wlad, but that's all he did. All he brought was taking up dangerous position, offering dangerous posture, then when Wlad tried to do work Tyson turns and steps back. All that mean is Wlad uses amatuer techniques which isn't new information. He was criticized for it most of his career. **** ****in' Spinks can handle turning just fine actually.

    6''2' vs 6''7.5'

    79''s' vs 85''s.

    210 lbs vs 250+ lbs.

    Outside fighter vs inside fighter...

I think I'll go with the inside fighter here. :)

Why do people even mention Ali against modern SHW's? Like he would have a chance at all?

    Short answer: He wouldn't...

Ali would have been a cruiser today. He even weighted in at 201 pounds during his peak years 66-67...

Usyk walks at 220 but still competes in the CRUISER weight division.

Zelenoff would beat them both. He said so, so it must be true. He is the goaf.

Ali defeated guys who weighed in as SHW's. He also defeated taller guys (Terrell was 6'6" and won maybe one round out of the 14 that were contested).

Ali got up under his own power, made it directly to his corner and after a delay of a few seconds (the glove tear controversy was rather overblown), wobbled Cooper with the first punch in the next round, sliced him up and forced a stoppage.

Given Ali's recuperative ability, it's not out of the question that might have recovered had the kd occurred earlier in the round.

The press conferences would be a thing of beauty. I don't think Ali would get into Furys head and actually think Fury would get into Alis head. However, I would go for an Ali UD.
