Griffin was very good amateur back in the day, I suppose it never transferred into the pro game though.

I forgot fury was on channel 5, was busy out for a run and missed the damn fight! Sounds like it was a good scrap and he did well, good to hear. David price is still the best Brit heavyweight though IMO. Would live to see them both fight. Both likeable characters and good fighters, price seems to have more athletic gifts and ability though.

Ever since his last figt orriray59? :D You go back a long way!

If Fury had been in there tonight with a banger that 3rd round would have been his first loss by KO! Lucky his opponent had a less than 50% KO ratio. Lessons need to be learned. Personally I dont see him getting past fringe contender on the world scene...just cant see any real class in him. His own admission in a recent interview is he wins mostly due to his size rather than his skills! I'm inclined to agree to some degree. He certainly doesnt look like a young Tyson or Lennox Lewis on their way up. Struggling with McDermott in their 1st fight said a lot about his limitations against a fat domestic level opponent. A young Lewis in there would have despatched that fat slob pretty fast IMO.
