£99.99 with Tommy Fury v MFI on the undercard. Think Usyk wins by decision unless the best version of Fury turns up although that could be 2 years too late for him now.
He had the accumulation against Joshua (first time round) to get very close to a KO in the 12th. That's mostly because Joshua under pressure doesn't know how to defend or move. Fury shouldn't get in that position. I don't see Usyk getting knocked out either, so it's a close points win. Not sure who for!
Here comes the press conference. Amazing how lifeless they are, given the size of the cards and fights - at least Miller livened up last night's one, and Fury is usually good value, but there's no crowd to react to it all! And Thomas Treiber... urgh
I agree. I wonder if Tyson Fury goes into a serious training camp and shows up well prepared ? I hope so, because Usyk will be ready. It is one of those fights where you change your mind about the outcome from week to week. I´m happy that the fight has been announced and we will get an undisputed heavyweight champion.
Fury seemed to have a lot of nervous energy, or maybe medicated. He seemed slightly out of control. Those punches from Ngannou have really taken their toll. He looked out of shape and a lot older too. Hopefully he’ll turn up on Feb 17th and we get the fight
This is the biggest 'I'll believe they're fighting when they're on their way to the ring ' of all time I reckon. I'm not convinced Fury wants to box anymore.
If this happens and Fury trains hard then it should be a points win for Fury. I doubt this actually happens though.
Fury embarrassed himself yesterday and Usyk was as always a class act. We know after all these years that Fury only acts up like this when his arse is twitching. Otherwise, he just turns on the charm and big the opponent up. I’ve read that Usyk looked shook? Complete opposite in my eyes.
Fury will come in in his best shape since the Wilder rematch and maul Usyk, eventually winning by late stoppage or close points decision. His last performance was awful, but at his best I still think Fury beats them all. I’ll be rooting for Usyk, but I just have a sneaking suspicion Fury will once again pull it out the bag.
The same people rubbishing Usyk as nothing but a blown up cw never say the same about Wilder. The only difference is Uysk was elite at lower weights while Wilder looked completely average when fighting at a lower weight in the amateurs.
