Maybe Fury is interim silver lineal franchise champion nowadays. There are so many titles, it's hard to imagine anyone decent not having some kinda belt.

As a Ifury fan I am badly embarrassed by this.

The ESPN deal might fatten his wallet but it is ****ing everything up.

Screw Bob Arum and ESPN they're doing the same with Crawford because they can't or won't get him any good opponents because of promotional politics.

**** this, and **** fury if he tries to explain this one away.
Wallin is NOTamerican so the excuse doesn't hold

Fury has lost a fan here, I hope wilder smashes him in the rematch now

Conning the public with schwarz and now wallin is a real pikey move

Wilder baptised him in that twelfth. He seen the lights. He doesn’t fancy it anymore.

    Fair play to Fury
If this fight happens it will be his 3rd fight in a row against a big undefeated HW

If he takes this fight, fury has lost all credibility to me. The last one was a pass but doing it again is ridiculous. They use the wilder next excuse but what if that doesn’t happen. I don’t put any trust in them at this point. It’s sad really, after what fury did in December I thought he was the man but this is pathetic. If it happens that is.

I'll be intrigued to see how they spin it. They tried their best to make Schwartz sound credible.

I was under the impression he was fighting a credible American next with a Wilder fight booked in for early 2020. I could accept that - someone like Martin/Miller/Washington etc. A level or two below what Fury should be fighting, but not a disaster. I could understand the reasoning for an American too from ESPN's perspective.

This though - absolute joke. Not many have heard of him and he's not American so that argument doesn't stand. He's got a very similar record to Schwartz too so doesn't appear much of an upgrade.

I really don't see the point - Fury, in my eyes, is the best heavyweight around. Fighting these guys is totally pointless. Proves nothing and doesn't even make sense commercially for ESPN.

The only way I could accept it is if he's fighting Wallin in addition to Miller/Washington/Martin to see out 2019 (he did say he wanted 3 fights this year) before fighting Wilder. I don't think that's the case though.

I really hope this isn't true - because if it is, it cannot be defended. It's an awful fight.

Not sure why so many people dont approve?
Fury has only had 29 fights and in that time has beaten the top HW champ of his era and looked to many to have beaten Wilder who is an undefeated HW champ.
Many said he wasnt ready at the time he took Wilder and I dont think he was either so cant see what is wrong with letting him get back fighting fit after a big weight loss.

It will be Furys 30th fight. Consider in Wilders 30th fight he was facing 21-10-1 Firtha.
His fight before that was 25-5-0 Liakhovich coming off 2 inside the distance losses
    Before that was 31-6-0 Harrison

But people complain when Fury faces
    40-0-0 Wilder
    24-0-0 Schwarz
and dont appear to be impressed if he then faces a 20-0 Wallin who has beaten Granat

Why does the opponent have to be American? If this fighter was American with this undefeated record, would you approve more?
