Still better than anyone Wilder has faced. People forgetting, Fury is still 23/24, he has plenty of opponents at top level to face in the next year. People would complain if he was fighting good or bad opposition, they just love to hate Tyson.
What is it that some people see with this Wilder fella? I don't see anything to sing and dance about.
"I think a fight with Cunningham is a good fight, especially when everyone says he beat Adamek. So if Tyson does a good job on him, it will send a message to everyone and have no doubts he will do." - Peter Fury
so cunningham is gettin rewared for the adamek fight. i thought cunningham won. its not the best fight. however if it was fury vs adamek that would be acceptable. so i think cunningham is a solid fight for him but it could be better. im pickin fury to win this though. steve is good but hes seen his best days an plus the size difference. fury gunna pressure him hard i dont think he can handle it.
Adamek wont fight Fury wont try to risk another lose... & its a good fight for both sides.. Fury would be a quality opponent for Steve.. & if Steve wins he gets title shot.. & Steve Cunningham is a big american name in the Heavyweight to fight in America for Fury
Fury is too big, bad fight for USS. Id go to Crusier, or face Adamek 3, maybe that plodding oaf Povetkin.
Fury is not ready for a top-10 opponent, so this bout makes sense. I wish it was at least Wilder or Price, but that would be suicide for Fury right now. It's a nice safe fight for Fury, and will give him a chance to work on some fundamentals. He can step up after that, which will actually be better for us fans as well. It should also be very entertaining, as Cunningham has speed & skills. - But I agree with some other posters that Cunningham should stay at CW. That division is actually heating up, esp with Chambers in the mix. Cunningham has NO chance at HW. I guess he's hoping to earn a nice "sacrificial lamb" payday with Wlad.
It's a great match up. I'd have a Fury win within 4 rounds though, too big, powerful and precise, although Cunningham is the better boxer in my opinion. Will look forward to this one. :thumbsup
