It's valid to separate. If this was MMA, Fury gets KO'd a few times. But he gets a count to recover and he does. Two different things.

Tyson Fury has fought punchers: Wlad (post-prime), Wilder (absolute peak), Ngannou (absolute peak), White, Chisora,... and has never been knocked out.
    That's a total of 9 chin.

Fury got dropped by Cruiserweight Cunningham who ended his career with a 40% ko rate.

    Gtfoh.

Wladimir never landed a solid punch on Fury's chin.

Wilder is a puncher yes but he had Fury down 4 times so again its not best argument.

Whyte never landed a solid punch on Fury's chin.

Chisora puncher ? Not at world level he's more of a clubbing puncher who has some power. Again 2 of the fights were very one sided with Chisora barely landing anything of note on Fury.

Ngannou is an MMA fighter and the shot was more of a glancing blow so that seems a bizarre point to bring up in regards to defending Fury's chin.

His recovery stands out more than his chin.

Around 2 I'd say. He really can't take it to the chin and is sent to ***** street every time someone touches it. But his skull is probably 9 or 10, he has never seemed to be hurt at all by any punch in that area.

    Exactly.

Chin - above average, but not impervious either - 7 seems about right.

Recovery - top drawer, he can get floored and then just get back up almost as if nothing happened... 9 or 10.

If he'd had a longer career and fought more good punchers (as opposed to heavy handed but limited fighters like Ngannou and Wilder), it wouldn't surprise me at all if he got knocked out at some point.

His recovery is overrated. Fury has never fought anybody who has power and good finishing technique. Wilder has power, but can't finish for ****. He has no skill. Usyk is a non puncher and his inability to finish Fury does not add to Fury's recovery mystique.

Yeah people have got it spot on this thread so far.

Chin is pretty good if not exceptional.

Recovery is ATG. I think Fury in terms of recovery may be amongst the best ever in that category - Ali, Bowe, Holmes, Holyfield.

Lol. Ali recovered from being decked by prime Frazier. A brutal finisher.

I mentioned Ali! The shots Ali took from Foreman, Shavers and of course Frazier were brutal.

I hate to say this, but also the shots Ali took from Holmes despite the fact Ali shouldn't have fought that fight in the first place, but Ali was still standing despite all the shots from Holmes.

I'd say a 6. He recovers better from a punch than he takes one.
