Those are terrible numbers. Watching the live fight, it was obvious the cameramen were told to avoid showing the "crowd" and avoid showing certain angles.

Ticket numbers are a major let down. This fight was one of the most marketed fights I have ever seen. So much TV screen-time promoting the fight in the UK and especially in the USA with ESPN and all the affiliated TV stations there. Tyson himself mentioned something like 3 hours of programming every night for a week before the fight?

All things considered, this is a huge failure.

The only success here was marketing Schwarz as a legitimate opponent, as a "number 2" and the whole "lineal champion" nonsense.

Reality check indeed for those who seem to think Fury has become a huge star in the US.

He is far from a star in the USA, even with all the media coverage by ESPN and affiliated channels the this is all it achieved? I have to say those ticket sales are abysmal and diabolical.

True enough. At least he didn't freeze, though. So that's a positive....

Not bad for Schwarz. Tyson Fury will soon become the richest, the most popular and the most famous heavyweight boxer.

    Bob Arum:

The Vegas show this weekend has generated a lot of buzz, with Fury already the subject of several ESPN-aired segments and with plenty more to come. The treatment rivals that of ESPN’s initially welcoming renowned mixed martial arts outfit Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to the fold earlier this year. Their first show spiked ESPN+ subscription rates by more than 560,000, which event promoters for this weekend view as a benchmark.

“This weekend’s event is very important for boxing,” Arum notes. “Look, even though the UFC are cousins of ours at ESPN, they are still competition. They’ve done extraordinarily well and ESPN had the announcement of their big subscription boost right out of the gate.

“With Tyson Fury coming up on June 15, we’re gonna get more new subscribers than they did with their debut in January.”

Three posts in one thread. That's what? 30p per post? Another one and you'll clear a quid....

Question for those who were there.
So this means Fury is the new international belt champion? Was that announced at the end of the fight? Hes added the int belt to the lineal belt that he BS he has.

DId they go "AND THE NEW INT BELT CHAMPION....."

Now just imagine if Fury fights the "****** kisser" Kubrat Pulev like they plan for October. What attendance would that produce?

Are you quite sure you're not actually a computer generated personality Bruce? There's rumours that much of these crowds are now inserted by CGI. Try going to a strong light source and see if you can spot any translucency, or perhaps any blurring or block artefacts if you move too quickly.
