They have been going back and fourth lately and some talk about the fight... but does anyone actually want to see it? I'm not that bothered by it, easy win for fury if you ask me. Bellew has improved but i was unconvinced by his ''win'' over Haye and Fury is just too big and too good for Bellew would make for a pretty **** fight if you ask me. Maybe the build up would be entertaining
I for one think it's a bullshirt fight. And I don't want it to happen either, because all the ways it could go and the consequences. Or rather the supposed consequences. We all know that Bellew has the luck of the Irish sticking on his behind somehow, making him an overachiever and overearner for someone with his abilties. Wouldn't be surprised in any way that if a fight like that came off, Fury turns up in such a shape that he can't answer the bell for the 5th round or something like that. And if nothing out of the ordinary happens and Fury wins like he should, that would instantly mean he will be highly ranked again, while actually beating a cruiser that got lucky by facing an injured and past it Haye. Ending up with Fury getting a big titleshot in which he'll get KTFO by either Joshua or Wilder.
Imagine if bellew became Lineal heavyweight champion of the world. Would like to have seen the odds for that a few years ago
Lord no, Dispite the fact fury is a beached whale surely Bellew knows a crook Haye is still his best pay day and win.
If Cunningham dropped Fury twice Bellew Has a shot against fat fury hopefully it happens in January. Bellew p4p #1 if he wins
Great comeback fight for Tyson. Plenty of cash, a well known British name and an easy win. A disciplined Fury plays with smaller guys, Bellews corner will pull him our midway through.
This fight is picking up steam behind the scenes. My sources are telling me that Haye might be bought out of his Bellew contract to free up Bellew vs Fury for spring 2018.
War Bellew I wonder if this sets up Charr-Haye for the WBA.. Sounds hard to believe but they were scheduled to fight a few years back. Wouldn't shock me
an ok level comeback fight, not something that excites me. Fury knows its zero risk, as he watched Bellew recently find it impossible to cleanly stop a jumped up CW on one leg.
Sounds good to me Bellew is just looking for the best pay day he can get and I just want to see Fury fight I don't really care who it is against at this stage just want to see him in the ring.
It's a reasonable first tune-up fight for Tyson Fury. Bellew is rubbish but Fury's been out for over 2 years and is still 330 pounds at least. If he gets down to 280 or less he should beat Bellew easily. In fact he can probably easily beat Bellew today at 330+. If he can't beat Bellew he needs to quit any ideas of being a boxer again.
Bellew isn't an "overachiever". There's no such thing. A boxer can't achieve more than they are capable of achieving. Truth is, Bellew is hooked up with a top promoter and broadcaster in the UK and is heavily marketed beyond his achievements. The British casual sports fans who watch SKY are probably bombarded by him to the point where he's thought to be something better than he is. A win over the similarly over-hyped David Haye (who was once a pretty good boxer but never achieved at heavyweight to match his self hype) means Bellew can be pushed as something he isn't for another 6 to 12 months at least. Bellew is a useful tool for the Matchroom-SKY nexus, a loudmouth cheerleader for the Anthony Joshua product too. Bellew would take the Fury fight as part of the Eddie Hearn plan to get his claws in Fury and rush a Joshua-Fury fight. Obviously it would pay Bellew well. His other big money option is really only a Haye rematch that will never happen.
