He's not almost 300 lbs. He mentioned during the press conference that he's around 285 lbs and that was a few weeks ago now.
Loads of bitter comments, suppose to some extend it’s understandable. I doubt it comes off on the 23rd mainly because Fury will need to bring south paws in and only have 8 weeks for the turnaround. I think it’ll happen though.
If it happens great but I don't believe it will, but the very slim chance it does happen. I'm picking Fury to win if hes in shape I think Dubois fight was a bit of an eye opener, and he will use his extra strength and size and go to Usyk's body and bully him.
T Those are the facts! Fury fights only to an old men (Klitschko, Usyk) or non boxer (Ngannou, Wilder, Schwarz, Pianetta) and lost to McDermott and Wallin.
You can add me to the list of people who don't believe Fury will fight Usyk so soon after fighting Ngannou. Granted, Fury has recent-ish precedent for this, as in 2018 he fought Pianeta in August and Wilder I in December, then in 2019 he fought Schwarz in June and Wallin in September. But with the unknowns that come with Fury boxing a career MMA fighter in Ngannou, and his need for a full training camp before fighting someone as formidable as Usyk, I take today's announcement with a grain of salt.
He'll beat Usyk, be undefeated and undisputed and you will still say he's not good. And FYI Fury and Usyk are almost the same age.
Ngannou sucks so bad, it's basically an exhibition fight. In many ways, it's the perfect tune-up for Fury: zero risk and an opportunity to get some rounds in before facing Usyk in winter.
