If it hadn't have been Fury I think the fight would have been stopped in Wallin's favour too. Vitali had 68 stitches.I remember Mendoza trying to convince us Lewis was more marked up than Vitali after the fight .so I posted a photo of them together and he went very quiet!

If you watch certai nreplays in HD you can see the cut open with the right hand. The heads touched but never butted with any impact

Sanders who was smaller than Lewis and Fury breached Vitalis wide open defence easily.. Of course Sanders was way past prime and in terrible condidtion
His speed and gas tank depleted in 3 rounds. Early 90's Sanders could have been trouble for Vitali based on how he did in those early rounds when he still had a pep in his step

Point is .. Vitali didn't change his lean back style after the Lewis loss. The leaks and flaws in that style were exposed by a slow Lewis and still exposed later by a past prime Sanders .. Fury would have a field day with such an easy to hit target.
