Prime Chagaev destroys Fury but the current version vrs. Fury is a toss-up.

 

Tough fight to pick. Chagaev is a SP with a little pop, and some excellent skills on the inside when he can get in there. Fury also has some power in those long OH Rs.
Chag has the far better chin, but at 34, and having lost several of his latest fights, it's a bit like picking Liakovich over Helenius. Tough fighter, but the young lion wins many of those fights, especially if they get put into the hands of domestic judges.

 

chagaev wouldnt be coming out of retirement like sergai was tho...who by the way exposed the big fin..what did he have injured during that fight??

 

Tyson Fury is too slick & would dish out a sustained beating to old, shot, hepatitis Chagaev.

Are you saying Chag would expose Fury as a lump as Liakovich did with Helenius. I had Robbe up 5-3 going into the 9th as most other NON HATERZ did. Nobody is calling Helenius the reincarnation of the Greatest.

Same goes for Fury. Big guy, less pop than Helenius, but has heart more than most. Aint afraid to go toe to toe, win or lose.

I'd probably pick Chagaev and Liakovich to beat Fury, simply based off lack of chin. But I'd also take Chisora to beat Chag and Liakovich, and we all watched the Fury Chisora fight.

Cmon....styles make fights. Helenius was injured vs Chisora and still hung in each round matching Del punch for punch. Even if only with winging L hooks. But against Liakovich, the fight was fought at a much slower pace, and eventually the power combo punching of the Fin got to the Wolf.

 

i dont hate helenius..i just refuse to give a man talents he just dosnt have(he has no skill hes just a big hitter and his chin looks solid)..since when do you need a gd chin to beat chagaev??if you had rob beating the white wolf before the knock out then your an even bigger maniac than i thought..
