If he beats Fury convincingly he cements atg status. Loses and snipers will deride him of course, not that they'll give him any credit anyway.

If he does this, I think he wins.

It is in Manchester, Fury gets to wear what gloves he likes, there is not going to be a foot of sponge under the canvas, all the little things Wladimir tried and failed with are not even an option this time around.

If he was in trouble in Germany then Wladimir is bang up against in the UK.

People are expecting a 40 year old Wladimir to come to England and be something he have never been before, an animal, a beast, a spiteful fighter who come here and KO Fury.

Wladimir didn't open up in the first fight because his natural instinct is self preservation, he doesn't want a fight, he wants to maul, jab, grab, maul, jab, grab. The way Wladimirs behaves in the ring it looks like worst nightmare is to have a fight and he is going to have to have one because Fury will throw punches back if Wladimir opens up.

I am very on the fence about buying tickets and flying here

But with the high possibility of postponement I'm just not sure

Wlad ain't going to no Manchester.
This could be a tactic to put pressure on Wlad to emerge from his clam shell.

Win or lose we won't know how the loss will effect Wlads legacy until Fury fights the other top HW's in the division.

Yes Wlad is very different from his brother

If this had been Vitali then I would be seriously worried about Fury. Vitali had the warrior instinct and was a natural fighter

It will be the same result as last time.
Wlad will be gun shy and will be out worked.

I underrated Fury badly before the Klitschko fight. Figured he would get sparked. Was completely wrong, now I back Fury to bet Klitschko again, probably in the same fashion. Wlad will have to change his gameplan and risk taking counters, which is why he wasn't throwing any punches

Won't hurt him at all with a loss, he's 40 and has been on a steady decline.. he doesn't have that fire anymore.. he doesn't have the stamina, he doesn't have Steward.

..but if he wins it helps, because he's 40.. and regained his title against a solid guy.

There's no losing in this fight really, other than a lose is retirement.. which I think he might have done even if he won the first fight.

He's already "cemented" his ATG status, you don't rule (or corule) a division for 10 years without doing that. And if he wins, it will just delegitimize Fury, unless Fury goes on to rule the division afterwards. But Fury's win capped Wlad's ATG status at fringe top 10, and revenge by Wlad by itself will do nothing to change that fact.

A win or a loss, in and of themselves, unless followed by other conditions, will do basically no good and no harm to Wlads legacy.
