Because there's history between them, he's known in the UK, he's clearly beat better people, he's a better fight, he's closer stylistically to Wilder, he's also got the power to emulate Wilder.

There are plenty of reasons why Price is a better opponent.
Also he's got a guaranteed title shot in 6 months anyway so why do rankings even matter?

The belts are very likely to fragment soon and Fury will want to be in as strong a position as possible when they do. With the way Wilder and Al Haymon carry on nothing is guaranteed, anyway Wilder could get KO'd by Ortiz or choose another option if Ruiz beats Joshua. Nothing is set in stone and everything is subject to change.

I also "did not realise" but why not give t0 the fans and fight credible opponents, these people pay his bills. Price is way more of a challenge than Otto

You said that you checked regularly. How on earth could you not realise. Otto is a European champion yet Price could not mix it at European level he was KO'd.

    Yea but:

"No world titles will be on the line when Tyson Fury faces Tom Schwarz live on ESPN+ on Saturday night, but Fury argues that he doesn't need titles to be called a champion.

That's because Fury (27-0-1, 19 KOs) is recognised by some as the heavyweight division's lineal champion. Supporters say he doesn't require belts to prove he is top of the pile because he outpointed Wladimir Klitschko for three world titles (WBA, IBF and WBO) in November 2015 ... and hasn't lost since."

    LOL LOL

If you work as Fury's publicist, that's fine ...can you at least align your public statements please???

He's number 2 with the WBC anyway. I'll give you that Wilder my get KOed by Ortiz but in reality we know that the odds are like 90-10 Wilder.

And I notice you just duck the rest of post. There's no way you can ever justify Otto over Price. And that's DAVID PRICE

How can you compare the two? Price has been bingo'd every time he stepped up and could not even mix it at Euro level. Wallin is European champion and untested at world level and you are saying Price deserves a shot over him? Think about what you are saying.

The problem of Price for an high ranked is that a match with him could be a piece of cake cause his rickety chin as a ruin cause he got heavy hands. Here is why many duck him.

You should think about what you're saying.

    Otto Wallin better than Price?

I'll bet you right now wallin gets no where compared to price... see how confident you are with Wallin

A boxer close to a such important match with an hard puncher like Wilder doesnt risk fighting with another puncher less before.

You can't. Price has wins over somewhat decent opposition.
    He'd beat Wallin...
Also would Wallin beat Hammer? No. Would Wallin have even won a British title (let alone commonwealth) against Sexton, Skelton, Harrison and McDermott? No.
He's not European champion, Kayabeal is.
Yes that is exactly what I'm saying. Your saying Otto deserves a shot over Price? Your barmey

Never bothered Dillian Whyte or AJ???

They fight hard punchers all the time while thinking about Wilder.

    Excuses, excuses, excuses

    Excuses, excuses, excuses

    Excuses, excuses, excuses

Wallin has held The EBU European Union belt and the lesser WBA continental version making him a 2x European champion. He is unbeaten in 20 fights. Price has 6 losses by KO including 2 in his last 5 fights. Price is not a world level fighter and should not be considered for world level fights. This has been proven 6 times already.

He already has by landing himself $1 million dollar fight.
