Tyson fury....what do ye think of him...?

I used to be a big Fury fan but my patience with him has gone now. I don't think he takes being world champion serious at all, now that he's made his millions the desire is no longer there which is probably why the depression has crept in as he can't find a reason to get out of bed in the morning.

Hate to say it but I think he needs to be stripped of his belts, no defence in over a year isn't acceptable whatever the circumstances.

 

Someone get the violins put. Tyson Fury was not the first boxer who won a world title and didn't get all the riches that come with it. Sometimes it happens but that's just life and to somehow blame AJ is ridiculous.

Andre Ward doesn't get the media love in for what some would argue his career deserves but that's just how it goes sometimes.

Fury should be bigger than that and just let his hands do the talking but he doesn't even do that.

Hia HW title reign wont be remembered at all.

 

Did the press put the words in his mouth that he spoke? He is an immature loon who says whatever comes into his head,put a mike in front of him and he can't help but to start gobbing off.

 

One thing we've learned though is that if you want to take banned drugs then you need to play the game and pay off private doctors like Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, Nicola Adams, Laura Trott and most of team GB all have.

 

The IFL interview with Peter Fury last night seems its more Tyson didn't like that people didn't like what he said and has had a strop about it.

 

His people always have a victim mentality.

 

I don't know why people are so harsh towards Fury.
Fair enough, it's okay to dislike him, but everything he does or says is blown way out of proportion, twisted, distorted, taken out of context.

He's actually been one of the most approachable and down-to-earth people in boxing.

 

It worked for Muhammad Ali.

 

Don't matter. Still made homophobic and racist comments in the past. Promoters, managers, broadcasters and most importantly fans remember that stuff. Not saying he is not down to earth, approachable etc. But hasn't shown himself in the best light and messed people around with all the nonsense he comes out with and all the fight delays.

Leaves a sour taste in peoples mouth and they have had enough of him. I sincerely hope he gets stripped.

 

Fury can say what ever he wants, so can I and so can you. Just because he's heavyweight champion doesn't mean he can't speak his mind. If people are truly repulsed by 'words' that come out of his mouth then you mustn't be able to stomach a fight between 2 men trying to render each other unconscious. Sticks and stones and all that

 

Yes he can say what he wants. So can people who disagree with him. He seems to have a bigger issue with that than the people who disagree with him.

 

Muhammad Ali was charismatic, witty and had the media hanging on every word he said. Tyson fury is far from that.

 

I think Fury reached the mountain and that was him done. Remember prior to the Klitchko he would come into the ring heavy.

The Vlad fight saw him work the hardest his ever had to and he got the gold. I just don't think his prepared to live the life of a an athlete who wants to stay at the top.

 

Yeah, I agree.
But if the young Muhammad Ali came along saying things remotely similar to the things he said back then, he'd not only be ostracised by the media .... he'd probably be locked up !

 

Bit different though isn't it. Ali was a product of his time who was living in an era where he was living in a segregated society.
Fury shouldn't be silenced but he can't complain if the public, media and potential commercial endorsement opportunities don't come due to what he says.

One can't look at Joshua and fury and then wonder why one has such a higher profile.

Joshua looks the part of an elite HW boxer. The looks, the body, his well spoken and you can see why companies want some of the AJ brand.
