Wilder's KO percentage is a marketing product, used as a tool to brainwash the easily deceived masses.

Truth is, Wilder can only KO opponents that literally stand right in front of him and give him a free target. Wilder has never KO'ed a single prime top 10 heavyweight ever. Many of Wilder's fights have looked fixed too, where guys such as Malik Scott went down from a phantom punch thrown by Wilder. And Wilder also goes all out in every fight, forcing the KO as much as possible.

There are guys with lower KO percentage who look like they have greater one-punch power than Wilder. Wladimir Klitschko has KO'ed many more prime, top 10 heavyweights than Wilder and that, without even having to force the KO by throwing wild punches all over the place like Wilder has to.

He never KO'ed Stiverne in the first fight. And in the rematch against Stiverne and against Ortiz, both were old and past their primes. So they don't count.

Wilder has never KO'ed a top 10 opponent in his prime that wasn't pushing 40 or above.

Not at all but at the time they were Arreola in particular was considered a hot commodity for little more than his Mexican heritage and racking up of decent wins against an aging Jameel McCline, Chazz Witherspoon, Damian Wills, Travis Walker, Brian Minto and I think Seth Mitchell between both Stiverne fights too. This is truly bang average stuff that is only able to be described as mediocre at best. You're right the rankings wasn't warranted yet it was given in the vacuum of Vitali leaving while awaiting the rise of Fury to take over.

Stiverne was still somehow ranked 7th when Wilder knocked him out. I think as he was champ and was known to be Wilder's mandatory and was eventually going to fight him that they kept him in as an active fighter still.

Just watch Wladimir vs Mercer or Chagaev. It’s obvious Wlad had more pop than Wilder.

If you follow their careers you can see it Vlad had more pure power behind his knockout punches than wilder

Wilder wound up from the back fences, and threw reckless, wide shots

Wlad could knock you out with either hand, and any type of punch

straight right down the pike, short inside left hook, jab( he’s knocked out some with a mere jab) , right hook

Wlad had torpedo power that he used in many punching styles, and he took out many opponents out with each style,

His short lead left hook was absolutely brutal, and I would venture to say it had more power behind it then Wilders winding up and swinging from the back fence with his reckless right hands

Wlad certainly hit harder than wilder
