I don’t think he wants the fight. He has stated multiple times that Steve Cunningham was his hardest fight because of how slippery and hard he was to hit, if you think Cunningham is hard to hit wait till Usyk is infront of you. Forget all his BS about him being a blown up middleweight, he knows full well what’s infront of him he knows it’s a nightmare style for him, he’s been very clear about it, it’s an open secret. The only thing close to a mover he has fought since Cunningham was Wallin and even he was pinging Fury even before the cut, Wallin is 5% the fighter Usyk is. Fury has managed to convince a lot of the public, particularly the British public than he is superman, and he is absolutely loving this gypsy king invincibility persona that they have bought into, he doesn’t want to risk his 0 against someone with a nightmare of a style against him, he doesn’t want to risk his current status in such a risky fight, hence why he’s on talksport talking about 7 day deadlines and 500m etc, I thought it wasn’t about the money? He doesn’t want this fight and he never has, and he will never fight Usyk, mark my words. Big Daddy Guru
Maybe he feels he's lost a couple of steps and is not in his prime anymore. He might be scared to risk losing his 0 against a "blown-up middleweight".
he is definitely past his prime & he wants to retire but he probable will fight Usyk for money & for one last challenge i would actually might respect him more if he retires & stays retired that is actually the more difficult thing for him to do
Hit the nail on the head. If he does duck Usyk its exactly because of this. Since he wouldnt mind facing AJ snd his favourite opponent Chisora.
Both Fury and Usyk are past their prime. If Fury doesn't take the fight and retires, the first thing people will talk about is how he ducked Usyk. He is risking ATG status by refusing to fight him. I do think this fight will happen but not in December. If it doesn't though, both Fury and Usyk will retire. The belts will be fragmented allowing Joshua to start picking up belts again.
